Which TV ANGEL do you want to be saved by?

Post by danlo »

To compliment Fizs' poll in "Flicks" I'm going back to the old TV show Charlie's Angels. Farrah was too toothy and perfect for me. Jacilynn Smith is a Goddess but her character didn't get the greatest lines. Kate did it for me-long neck, intelligence and had the most clothes on, I don't know why but that was a challenge and a turn on for me.

Jaclyn Smith all the way. Hmm, one day rescued by Drew Barrymore, the next by Jaclyn Smith. I could get used to that. :)

Hey Gilligan's Island is older than this show and there's not even as much drivel in the "Ginger or Maryanne" topic...

Well If I have to be saved by an Angel from TV I will choose Angel from Buffy anyday. ;)

Arrrgh! Why did I ever create this thread in the fist place? All it does is attract young whipersnapping wisecracking buttheads w/o a clue! :x **puts on his Depends, chugs Geritol, inserts fresh battery in hearing device, adusts glasses, can't remember where he left his Grecian Formula, pops a Viagra, grabs cane and exits in an arthritic huff! 8) **

You forgot your plastic hip. You left it by the false teeth. And the glass eye. And the snap-on nose.

Honestly, though. If you don't know what Gilligan's Island is, I wouldn't be surprised if you next asked "what color is the sky?" Either that or "how big is that rock I'm living under?"

danlo, you have my sympathy. I think we're both feeling our age, though we're not that old, are we?

Today, when you mention 'TV' and 'Angel', I guess the, er, younger generation automatically think of Buffy's Angel, not Charlie's. Buffy is certainly a more meaningful show for learned folks than Charlie's Angels could ever hope to be, though I'm not a fan.

Think I'll stick with praising the goddess (as danlo said) that is Jaclyn Smith. That Angel dude from Buffy just isn't my type.

Or maybe we just aren't old... or watch different tv to you Americans. The whole world doesn't revolve around America you know.

Well none of the original angels are really my type :P (too fluffy haired :P) so I'll stick with Buffy's Angel (though if given a choice I would prefer Spike *drools*)

Has Gilligans Island ever aired outside the US of A?
The only reason I don't qualify as a creature living under a rock :P is that i saw a lame documentary about "tv-show scandals" that happened to be about Gilligans Island (plot, caracters the works, really informative...;))

sorry sorry, of topic I know....:)

(And Revan... I'm doing fine!)
