My theatre company is adapting Plan 9 into a musical. If it remains on schedule, it should open in October. It looks like it's going to be absoloutely hilarious.If you liked Manos let me recommend "Plan 9 from Outer Space" which is another classic!

BTW, I noticed on another thread that you are a big fan of the Dark Tower Series. I am a huge fan as well and can't wait for "Wolves of Calla". Have you had a chance to read the prologue that was published on his website? I think It's called Calla Brynn Sturgis and it's great. Nice to see another Tower fan and good luck with Plan 9!

Thanks Brinn, Maybe I'll publish the review when it goes up. I have read the Wolves of the Calla prologue, and I'm annoyed that I can't read "The Tale of Gray Dick" an excerpt from the same book that's only available in a magazine called Timothy McSweeney's Quarterly Concern that I can't afford a subscription to. According to the official website though, we should see the remaining three books before the end of next year, With Wolves coming out (limited edition hardback as per the others) in November of this year. Also, the first four are being re-released in hardback in June, with the Gunslinger having been revamped with an additional 35 pages!

Oh, and Titus had Jessica Lange, not Glenn Close. Good movie, though. I thought Midsummer didn't really work, although some individual things worked very well indeed. Kevin Kline was the best Hamlet I've ever seen, period. Way better than Olivier, imo.

Incidently, did you know there's been a tendency in productions of Hamlet during the last couple of decades to have Ophelia give away anything but flowers during her "mad" scene? One production had her giving away long brass nails. The Kline production had her giving away pieces of Hamlet's shredded love letters.
