Notifying others, just in case they haven't been paying attention, of their abject failure to mount even the feeblest defense and of their sheer public humiliation owing therefrom. You've got mail. "You suck."

OxyContin is the mightily powerful narcoleptic preferred by 4 out of 5 detoxing Tankers. Forgetfulness of such an august institution as the Tank is a heavy lift, even for this pressed-powder King of Lethe, though its ministrations may help one not mind remembering. Know yer problem. Know yer dosage. No more problem.

Palpitations, tremors, shivers, shakes, spasms, fits, and the vapors are all symptomatic artifacts of Tank Withdrawal. These could've all been avoided had the enemies of mankind not taken upon themselves the mandate to expunge from existence what shreds of peace and wellness remained in a weary world.

Questioning Everything ever since the Tank's disappearance — along with that of its resident gatekeepers of the True and the Good — has left me bereft of my Rock of Ages, my Reality Check, my Litmus, my Polestar. How will I know what words really mean? Or know what has already been conclusively established? Or what I really think? I'm floating untethered in the Primal Chaos. What is illusion? What is true?

Restive, since not only is the Tank long-gone, but the successor GCES forum (Global Council for Earth and Space) is also on hiatus. Amazing how little Watch traffic there is without these contentious fora!

Shall be back! I personally would rather little traffic than noisome noise. However, we'll give it another go...

Thanks! I rather thought this alphabetical sequence had potential for the sort of mod notice-and-response that has occurred. Your kind words elsewhere are appreciated!

Until the GCES Forum is reopened, everyone will miss news like the 6 - 3 SCOTUS ruling issued today which ends the ability of Federal District Court judges to issue univeral injuctions. No longer can one judge stop the entirety of the Executive Branch with a piece of paper. (yes, I have a copy of it saved. yes, I can provide anyone with the link so they may read it for themselves)
I can't deliver the news if there is no place for me to deliver it.

I'm just a courier. I don't make the news, I only deliver it. Sometimes, the news I deliver is not nice.

Verily, some posters who normally are seldom seen outside GCES will venture out into other fora during a hiatus. Welcome to the broader Watch!
(Also note that peter seems to deliver the news from a UK perspective pretty much daily in his What Do You Think Today thread in GenDisc. Opinionated, but not too contentious, it seems well-tolerated.)

Xenodochial should be our approach to those who don't frequent this forum. To follow that path is both appropriate to this venue and a positive example to those whose usual haunts can be sparing on such hospitality.

You do realize that there are some of us who disdain social connection because we are driven in a certain direction, yes? You should also realize I am complying with the rules of an ABC thread, despite never having done so before, because there are customs here and when one is visiting a foreign nation one should try to comply with local customs in an effort to "fit in". I don't actually "fit in" anywhere, so this is me "making an effort".
On the one hand, I don't have anything in common with any of you and normally would not care to find out if I actually do. On the other hand, here I am trying to engage and, well, "fit in". That is...new...for me.
