Snape

Post by Haruchai »

Come on, there has to be more Snape fans out there! I know Turiya foul is one. 8)
Snape is just a cool character. Finally some one who hates Harrys guts (other than old Voldy). Snape also has more opportunities to be nasty to Harry, hehe.
But, he isn't all bad, he has saved Harrys behind on countless occasions! And he is an invaluable spy.

If you look at some of my other posts, I think Snape is the BEST. He is complex, has compelling reasons for not liking Harry, and despite his dislike, sees the big picture and is either constantly saving or trying to save Potter. Without Snape Harry would have been dead in book 1, to say nothing of Snape's other protections....

Snape is the best characters, in the movies and in the books. He is just so damn nasty.

What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alan Rickman is a great actor!! I think he plays Snape pretty well! I know, not as good as the book, but still pretty good.

Kenneth Brannagh (sp?) was indeed awful as Lockheart. Alan Rickman is a good actor, and he gives it a fair go, but it doesn't work that well IMO

Both Snapa and Lockhart are portrayed by great actors. Let's lay the blame on the Director, the shallow Chris Columbus who seemed more concerned with selling video games and action figures than devloping great characters.

Snape is a miserable snipe who is taking out his anger at James Potter on Harry. Who had nothing to do with any of it. He's also a lousy teacher. Teachers are not supposed to belittle their students and make them feel stupid. But, I agree there is more to Snape than meets the eye. Dumbledore trusts him for a reason. He's just not one of my favorite characters...
For Myles--
When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

For Mom--
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Fly...fly high against the sky...
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you
The wind beneath my wings

Very true, but he is a good teacher if he likes you.

Everyone has their own opinion. I wonder why Dumbledore trusts him? Very interesting. Musta been something big.

heh, it is true, but funny. you need someone to be mean to Harry. I like the way he talks to Harry, telling him how he 'struts' around the school. and Harry is a naughty boy, sneaking off to Hogsmeade. tut tut.

Yeah... I started to get annoyed when everyone sucked up to Harry... and was happy that some people started to be nasty to him... Umbridge.. truly my favourite character out of the whole series. :)

Umbrigde wretched bitch :D . I hope the centaurs did something really nasty in the woods 8O .

Anyway, I like Snape much more. He's a mysterious being. One day you hate him, the other day you feel so sorry for him you could cry 8) .

Who knows why Dumbledore does the things he does?

Anyway I always thought of Snape as the 'grey hat man' in the HP books and movies. He is the guy who changed sides and those guys are always interesting but you might not want to trust him.
