Thomas Jefferson is my HERO! There was a real rebel--he said something 2 the effect that, "the Constitution enables it's citizens, in fact it implores them, to make radical changes on a continual basis." He aslo said that "...to keep the Constitution honest revolution (I'd like 2 think he's talking about 'intellectual' revolution) should take place in this country every 20 years, at least."

Not being an american I certainly would not pick the founding fathers of the United States. But I know next to nothing about them.

And as someone with Virginia roots I'd say a lot of the action happened further South!

Can`t say I`d choose the Founding Fathers..I read somewhere that only one third of the american population wanted indepence (only the rich), so in a way they just forced "freedom" on the common man, forced them to fight in a war they didn`t really support.

Akhenaten is a great choice, though! The leaders of the Russian revolution aren`t too shabby, either. Just a little too much bloodthirst, intentional or not.

Can`t come up with a Rebel of my own, though. Yet.

Hmm I was under the impression that many rich Americans were Tories and supported Britain. Was it all rich people that threw the tea into Boston's harbor? Was it the rich that fought in the Reolutionary Army?
