The Grudge
How come y'all haven't startied to talk about this movie? It is currently #3 in the USA. I've heard reports from friends and students that it's scarier than The Ring or even Ringu.

I saw it twice, not because it was good but beause my sister wanted to go and I thought it would be funny to watch everybody jump because I knew when it was comeing. There were several annoying parts in the movie and a few stupid mistakes. The first time I saw it I jumped at a few of the surprise parts but that was it. Over all it was a waste of money.

My eyes are flame.
My heart is ashes.
Look upon me and tremble.

I haven't seen the American version, but my girlfriend and I rented the Japanese original version called "Ju-On: The Grudge".
There are some genuinely creepy moments in that film ... I really liked it.
I should preface that by saying her and I are "Horror Afficionados" and just love it when we find something that scares the Hell out of us!
Frankly ... I'm not too interested in seeing the US remake (because I loathe Sarah/Buffy), but probably will rent it just so I can compare the two.

Better than Underworld (which I saw and enjoyed, except it was way TOO LOUD).
Most likely better than Van Helsing (which I did not, but probably will).
Better than Alien vs Predator.
