Print Run / Signed Copy Ratio ??
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what the first print-run was for "Runes of the Earth" and just how many copies were signed by the great SRD??
Thanks in advance!

I guess I should consider myself pretty lucky, I got one of those 7500.
The store was having a release day sale on the book (around $18) and they had a stack of signed copies next to the unsigned. I had them scan a signed version and it was also $18, so I jumped right on that. I also glanced at a few of the others, to see if they were actually signed with a rubber stamp, but the signature was slightly different in the 4 or 5 copies I looked at.

Thanks to Romeo, I gots me a laid in book plate for my copy. I believe, however, that it says somewhere on his site that you can send off for one.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Here it is, from the GI:
Debbie: How can I get an autographed copy of the book when it is released? My husband is a HUGE fan and I would love to give it to him as a gift.
There are several ways to go about this. 1) Find a bookstore that has autographed books in stock (there will be a *lot* of them out there). 2) Attend one of my (admittedly sparse) book tour signings. 3) Contact me through my agent (on the "contacts" page of this site) with your s-mail address and how you want the autograph done (e.g. what's your husband's name?), and I'll send you a self-sticking autographed bookplate which you can then place in the book of your choice.
If you look at the "contacts" page on SRD's official site it says:
Autographed bookplates. Requests should be sent to Mr. Morhaim's assistant at: allison@morhaimliterary.com
Please remember to include ALL of the following information:
Mailing Address
Personalization Information - name of person only (no additional quotes or blurbs, please)
Number of Bookplates (due to the volume of requests, and the number of books he's already signed, SRD asks that you limit your request to 3 bookplates)
