C'mon Loremaster it's the way of the world. It okay for girls the to like boys' things, but vice-versa is Gay. (It's wrong, but thats the way it is.)
Pride and prejudice eh? I've always wondered about your Avatar.

I read my share of bodice rippers in college. All the plots are the same -- boy meets girl, boy rapes girl, girl decides she's in love with boy.... Yecccccch.onewyteduck wrote:But Seareach, have you ever read any of those ridiculous historical romances? They are markedted 100% to women and almost all of them involve rape or stop just short there of! (You know how it goes, all of us females have these rape fantasy's) I just don't see the rapes having that big of an impact gender wise. Just my opinion.

I read the Gap books and found the multiple violations a little tough to take. So I haven't read them again. But Lena's rape didn't really affect me all that much. (Maybe because I'd already read all those bodice rippers!

Crappy romance novels of roughly 150 pages where silly women with nothing much to do named Savannah or Virginia resist the sexual advances of heavily muscled shirtless men named Ramone for 125 or so pages before giving in and going at it with him in the hay barn. Uses lots of words like throbbing and turgid.

You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.
In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.
He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

Nice pic SoulQuest! I didn't see any TC references, but I do like the "eclectic movies and music" reference...SoulQuest1970 wrote:LOL I guess it was in my ad somewhere. In some section of favorite things. I only learned that he had read the books when we spoke on the phone first. We got to talking about books. I was seriously trying to find things to talk about because it was a really weird conversation. I only went out with him because I figured anyone that had read TC had to be alright. I was wrong lol. Heck, check my personal... it may be on there. It is yahoo personals and my name is... SoulQuest1970... go figure. lol

I *am* disappointed however, to see that you are *not* wearing a white gold ring... you lose points for THAT!!
