Hello all, as you can see, i am new to these forums. Perhaps you have heard of that game shard that uses the books as Lore, and well, i play there. I play a Kresh, although they act a bit differently from the books on that shard.
Nevertheless, i could use all information about them. Such as physique, social structure, strengths/weaknesses etc.
Apparently they are larger than other wolves (at least large enough t hold an ur-Vile, that is), often used as the first assault in Foul's armies. They're about as fast as most horses, but I don't think they're that smart once they catch the scent of something.
From the descriptions i can remember, it seemed that kresh were substantially larger than a normal wolf. i would guess twice their size or more. they are fast and are vicious fighters, but, as Murrin said, they are not that intelligent. intelligent enough to follow orders and possibly try to ambush prey, but i would venture to say that is their limit.
in TIW they r so stupid or driven or wot-eva that when they get trapped in dooms retreat & cant reach the prey they were chasing, they start attacking the ur-viles that were riding them. they often seem 2 b portrayed in opposition 2 ranyhyn, but whether thats coz they hate ranyhyn, or just like the taste of ranyhyn, i dont know.

You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.
In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.
He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.
*nods* well thanks a lot guys, at least i know how large i am. *grins*
But they have no such things as leaders amongst the Kresh? Or something like the strongest rule the pack? And from what i have read, they have yellow bristly fur, althought thats almost everything i could read about them.
Stone and Sea are deep in life,
two unalterable symbols of the world;
permanence at rest, and permanence in motion;
participants in the Power that remains.
They are, basically, wolves. They hunt in packs, and like the taste of Ranyhyn meat. They are sometimes referred to as 'renders' by the Ramen (fuzzy memory, might be wrong on that).
You're right about Doom's Retreat, variol-son - I think that they get exited at the idea of meat, and if they can't get their intended prey they attack anything they can find.
i think the ramen call anything that attacks the ranyhyn on the plain a render, but since that is usually kresh i guess ur rite murrin. i imagine that they live near the plains of ra since they always seem 2 b attacking the ranyhyn. surely it would b easier 2 go after some of the stowndowners or woodhelvinin from the more remote villages.
