What are the colors of Power?

Post by High Lord Tolkien »

And I mean "real" colors not Donaldson colors!

Lord's fire: Blue
Forbidding: Blue
Word of Warning: invisible/Gold

Wild Magic: White

ur-Vile magic: Black

Riders: Red

IllEarth Stone: Green
Colossus: Green (but a good green)

I'm sure I'm missing a ton!
What else has it's own distictive color?

But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

The gold gold ring seemed to have power aswell, i always pictures Words of Warning as a transparent red,

good earthpower also green but the green of grass, and growing things, collosas and forastal power

yellow im sure is also evil and malgnant fouls eyes are yelow, graverling is red but a good red, venom and wild magic corupted black, sunbane is a courruption of natural color, but linden sees it as wrong an emansiation from the land and a couroption of earthpower, as you see heat distorting your veiw in the desert
and fouls natural power is red or yellow, hurtloam omits a golden glow when working

what i want to know is what sandgorgans look like my brain just cant put donaldsans description to my mind

I seem to remember the Staff of Law having a rainbow like effect... it's been too long. That is in a neutral state... it kinda takes the color of whatever power is being channeled through, whether it be wild magic or Lord's fire, etc.

If wild magic is white, does that mean that it is composed of all the other magics (or at least the blue, red, and green primary magics)?
And if the ur-vile magic is black, is it actually absorbing all the light in its vicinity instead of emitting any?
Do any forms of magic emit in the IR or UV, and are thus invisible to humans?
