Release dates of the new chronicles

Post by safetyjedi »

Does anyone else wonder why the release dates for the upcoming novels are so far away? I myself am hungry for the next book already and it won't be released until 2007!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SRD is a notoriously slow writer - he has 3 years to write each book as part of his contract.

BTW - Welcome to the Watch! I'm going way out on a limb here, but I suspect you might like the Star Wars thread located in the Library forum. Enjoy!

I guess I shouldn't complain, this gives me time to read all of them again. I also picked up a copy of Gilden Fire on ebay just recently and I can add that in as well. ...there is wild magic in every rock

Hope for 2006, expect 2007
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Chew on this though...

Book 2 in 2007

Book 3 in 2010

and finally the grand conclusion in 2013

(give or take a year)

Imagine how old you'll be when you get to experience the final chapters of the Chronicles. 8O 8O 8O

last chapters in 2013? christ I'll be 38! I wonder if in that time frame a film will finally be made, which would delay any further writing?

mind you, it's that damn good, it is worth the wait!

I agree, can you imagine how bad it would be if SRD unfortunately passed away before finishing his epic? We'd get some inferior writer trying to finish it off, maybe a relative or his editor or something!

A lot of people here are already older than 38. :| :|

In 2013 I will be 49. 8) And, with luck, already retired from my lifetime of government service.
