Pregnancy Food

Post by Reisheiruhime »

Okay, tell us what you've craved. *crickets chirp* Well, you can't be expecting me to submit anything, I'm only 14! *Georgia-ness makes itself evident* Ha. Ha. Ha. Not.

I don't know, I think I'd make a great pregnant woman. Pickles and ice cream taste great together. Oh, and mozzarella cheese sticks dipped in chocolate pudding... Pity, but at the end I'd have a squalling brat to deal with, and my luck, I'd drown it in the washing machine whilst trying to give it a bath. Who wants that?

Hmm... Oh, Kou'al?

For the last time, no, I will not do... that.

Hmph. So much for that idea.

What? I can't help it that you picked the wrong genes to be modified with. You know what happens...

Hey, let's go raid that ship over there.

Oooh, it has weapons... *wanders*

Hmm... I feel like some pizza. With whipped topping.

With my older son I constantly craved fresh fruit (especially cherries and blueberries) and -- broccoli. The fresh fruit I wanted with just a dab of vanilla ice cream. The Broccoli I wanted with just a taste of bleu cheese.

The weird thing is that now my son loves cherries, blueberries, and broccoli.

I don't remember any strong cravings with my younger son. I threw up constantly for seven of the nine months, and that probably has a lot to do with it.

With both pregnancies it was always food smells that brought on morning sickness. The worst reactions were always to eggs and coffee. So much for going out for breakfast.
Love as thou wilt.

Obviously, I've never been pregnant, being a 38 year old man, but my wife is expecting in September, and she hasn't sent me to the shops in the dead of night for any wierd stuff yet.

She didn't have any strange cravings last time either.

Must just be lucky.

Nah, I didn't have any strange cravings either.

But, I was gestational diabetic, and on a strict diet per my doctor. I think by following the diet I got everything I needed for myself and the baby, and it kept any cravings at bay.
