Team America

Post by Revan »

HAHAHAHAHAHA! This film rules. :D I couldn't stop laughing... I loved it when the Americans blow the crap out of Paris to kill the terrorists, and cheerful told the appalled people "Don't worry everyone, the terrorists have been dealt with!".

you should watch this film, it's pretty good. :D

Watched it last night. It was a bit one-note, but pretty funny for all of that.
Spoiler
Particularly what happened to Hans Blix, and the bit with the panthers!
Mind you, Gerry Anderson would be turning in his grave were it not for the fact that he's still alive. :)
...but in the morning, I will be sober

I just watched Team America World Police and I'm almost ashamed to say I enjoyed quite a lot of it. I'm not a vulgar person and I am not one to seek out such things but the film looked funny in the previews and so I rented it. I can't tell you why but when you have a scene be it cartoon or live action when someone it puking excessively for comedy I always bust a gut. I can't help it. I enjoyed the fact that the film makers pulled no punches and ripped everyone they could think of. The language of the film wore me down after a while (even the soundtrack was filled with interesting adjectives :-) ) but in the end I was left with some very amusing memories. I can't get that song out of my head. "America F*** Yeah!" :-)

I just got the DVD.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

The first movie I've rewatched same night since Razorback.

Special features had some fun too.

Where SunbaneGlasses has taken to shakking his hands in the air at crisis times, I instead have gone a step further and, had said to a number of workmates; "... and ... go."

Started a new job last week.
Do you think I like being this dangerous?

There are now 4 of us at work shaking our arms back and forth in the air when things aren't going smooth! It's a terrific stress reliever! 8)

My god you're right! I'm flailing my arms about like a Parisian fleeing a redwhiteandblue humvee and it feels great!!!

Funny movie.

My kids come over every other weekend, and constantly ask to watch my DVD of it. I have to admit, part of me wants to let my oldest see it, because he has the right sence of humor, but I'm standing firm till he's 17. Or married. Or maybe I'll just will it to him.....Fuck yeah!

i think the 17 year old would love it. if you watch it with him you could explain the political references. and why you are laughing your ass off?

He's not 17 yet, he's 12. And he knows plenty about politics already; he'd nee no help with this movie. It's the love scene and the uhh...'pact' scene that I don't want him watching.
