Soon to meet Mr. Martin!!!

Post by Baradakas »

So, in a week or two, I'll be heading off to Madison, Wisconsin for a book signing by good ol' George himself. I have, for the last few weeks, tried to come up with some intelligent questions to ask him, though I am sure I will probably only have time for one. So, I ask you, if you had the chance to ask George R.R. Martin one question (not a spoiler question!) what would it be?

"Mostly muffins sir."- My answer in response to the question posed by the officer, "Son, do you have anything on you I should know about?"

His response: "Holy $&!^. He's not kidding! Look at all these muffins!"

As I said when this question came up at SFFWorld:
Who killed Asmodean?

Seriously? I have no idea.

Hey, he's probably gonna have a better answer for that than Jordan.

I'd ask him who the hell Asmodean is.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Martin wouldn't answer it, but I would ask him if what happens to the braid-wearing girl in his short story, The Sword Sword (Legends II), is a direct response to Jordan's ridiculous and overused habit of having his female characters tug on their braids? :P
