Middle of the sea ... city too big ... too many fingers ... I guess this should be classified as 'Covenant-inspired': I don't think the artist was going for literary accuracy.

Certainly. And that's ok. Art is often what the artist feels, not necessarily an attempt to make an accurate depiction of an event.
