firewalls

Can anyone tell me about them? I don't know a damned thing about them, except that the one Mr. Terrific installed in the JSA's computer did a great job several months back. I haven't gotten the nasty worm/virus that's going around. Possibly because I'm updated at Norton. And someone also told me that it might be because I get the Windows updates all the time. (And maybe because this is just about the only site I ever visit.

) But I'm told that my luck can't hold out forever, and I should get a firewall.

I installed a firewall F&F...after the horror that was the Win32 Blaster Worm thingy.

Vain recommended it and its easy to download and use.... even for me.

And keeping updated with Norton should keep away any nasty new worm...I think there is another one going around too....got notifiication from MS about it or something.
