I don't care what critics think--this is a beautiful, heartbreaking movie--Sir Anthony rocks! Great acting, action and scenery! 8) Gets my stinky manly testosterone flowing! :P

I'll be the first person to say this. I'm as straight as they come. I love women.....All women. Big ones, small ones, blondes, brunettes, redheads, bald ones. It doesn't matter, I dig chicks.

But oh my God Brad Pitt is just f-ing dreamy in this movie.

I agree, this is a great movie. I think Julia Ormond is beautiful, and a good actress - I've never understood why Hollywood didn't like her more.

I'm a Brad Pitt fan (but not for the reasons Cail outlined above ;) .) Some of my favorite Pitt movies are Fight Club, Se7en and of course, Snatch.

Yes I liked Se7en too, and, much to Syl's dismay, have never watched Fight Club...

The thing I like about him is that he takes interesting roles, and he really throws himself into them. Snatch is a perfect example of this (as is 12 Monkeys). He's completely believable as a Pikey, even though he's from Oklahoma.

Even in fluff films like Ocean's 11 & 12, he's interesting to watch.

uh...THANK YOU!!! this proved the pretty boy could actually ACT!!! Fight Club and Snatch came AFTER 12 Monkeys!!!!

When I was institutionalized, my brain was studied exhaustively by the guys of mental health. I was interrogated, I was x-rayed, I was examined *thoroughly*. Then, they took everything about me and put it into a computer where they created this model of my mind. Yes! Using that model they managed to generate every thought I could possibly have in the next, say, 10 years. Which they then filtered through a probability matrix of some kind to - to determine everything I was gonna do in that period. So you see, she knew I was gonna lead the Army of the Twelve Monkeys into the pages of history before it ever even occurred to me. She knows everything I'm ever gonna do before I know it myself. How's that?

not a big fan as a rule. not sure if its the film he picks or the roles. because of his looks he seems to get way more attention than i think he deserves. Fight club-outdone by ed norton. 7- hated him in it, never believed the whole salt of the earth cop thing, and how obvious was the twist(thats hardly brads fault i know). twelve monkeys proved Bruce willis could act. i actually think that his performance in 12M is one of his worst-Overact Much??!! he's not the worst actor in the world IMO but not sure he delivers on the hype.

Dang I forgot some good ones! I even OWN A River Runs Through It I really like him in that and his bit part in True Romance was very cool. I've never been able to watch much of 12 Monkeys, so have no opinion on that--but The Devil's Own is what I'd consider his worst--his Irish accent is absolutely atrocious (but his German one's pretty darn good in Seven Years in Tibet) damm he even made Harrison Ford look bad in that one!

favorite Pitt movies??

12 Monkeys
A River Runs Through It
Spygame

speaking of A River Runs Through It, doesn't Redford make a better director than he does an actor? uh-huh. yeah. (why does everybody dog on Ordinary People?? i loved that movie!!)

and i love Craig Sheffer...and if you like Craig, see he and D.B Sweeny in Fire in the Sky

if i must watch Redford act...he and pitt really work great together in Spygame...best thing Redford's ever done
*ducking all the debris from the Butch Cassidy fans*
underrated film

Yes the whole cast of "River" was great, Skerritt was brilliant. I have seen Fire in the Sky and would have to to agree with you on Craig-I think he overacts a tad in some of his demeted killer roles--and sometime he's too freaky, in a good way, to watch. Redford was pretty good in The Clearing, The Horse Whisperer and Up Close and Personal--I liked him best in Jeramiah Johnson and The Last Castle. He is a bit "pretty boy" and two dimensional in alot of films (Barefoot in the Park and The Candidate, i.e.)--but Newman is so good he can make anyone look that way...for his day he was pretty good (All the President's Men as Bob Woodward, springs to mind), but for the intensity of Ordinary People, the beauty of Horse Whisperer and River I have to agree that he is a much better director.

Never saw Quiz Show--my fav Fiennes movie is Strange Days (I even love Tom Sizemore's role, and lusted after Juliette Lewis), but everyone thinks it's weird and disagrees with me--The Constant Gardener looks excellent, I must see it!
