The Matador

Post by Usivius »

OK, I've laid it out there. Who has seen this movie?

Great movie. To be brief:
great storytelling/script; excellent directing, and very surprising and well-done acting!

Loved it!

This is the new Brosnan flick, yes? I'm looking forward to it.

Brosnan flick? Oh, thank goodness. I was worried it might be a documentary on mid-70's AMCs.....

What? HAs no one seen this yet?!
I am shocked, as I know the Watch has some astute movie people here.

OK, the lowdown: it is a great and fun movie. It centres around two men, one, an investment business guy and the other an aging hitman. Their lives connect and meld in some scary and funny ways, that have to be seen and enjoyed to beleive.

Excellent casting, especially Brosnan as the anti-Bond type hitman. There is some great acting hidden beneath this wonderful script and story.

See it. Really!

nonononono ...

in this one the hitman is burned out and is wallowing in his own pathetic life and seeks out companionship from investment-guy. And the wackiness ensues....

I finally saw this last night. What a great film, Brosnan's best acting by far!

I'm surprised this didn't do better. It's really a good, funny movie.

Matador is quite funny, and PB is very very good in it. Greg Kinnear is outstanding as well... but he usually is.

Yeah, I saw this last month and loved it. Brosnan was such a lovable bastard in it! Greg Kinnear did a great job.

Saw this a while back. Great film, and it totally changed my opinion of Brosnan as an actor.

Just bought it on the weekend, and watched it again with the missus ... we love it. It's such a great role for both men. And the woman who plays "Bean" is great too! Not just some 2D woman/wife role. She really adds to it. The scene where Brosnan has arrived at their home and they are staring at him from the kitchen. Her line about swearing is great....
