Summer Flicks

Post by Worm of Despite »

Well, it's that time again. Grab your popcorn and settle down for a deluge of big event films! Here's a list of the films I hope kick ass:

Superman Returns
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Clerks II
Snakes on a Plane :haha: :haha: :haha:

I need to see X-Men 3, also, even though I've heard bad things about it.

I fear this. I love the first, but the trailer for the second made me cringe.

I've seen some good trailers for bad movies, so I'm hopeful the opposite can occur. Lord knows I need some quality movie-age this summer! In any case, I'm just going to twiddle my thumbs and wait for the reviews to come piling in. *twiddles thumbs*

*stops twiddling* But you know, I am skeptical. I mean, it's quite a feat to craft a successful pirate movie, let alone a good sequel/follow-up. Just look at the one with Geena Davis…what was its name? See, it sucked; I can't even remember the name! *resumes twiddling*

What?!? Millman??

Edit: I imdb'd it. I've quoted the book several times here. I didn't know it was being made into a movie. As cool as it could be, I gotta say... I cannot imagine Nick Nolte as Soc! 8O I don't have a great feeling about this, but let's hope.

www.peacefulwarrior.net/ I just spent a long time at this site and on rottentomatos-getting mixed reviews, mostly favorable-this one lady really rips Roeper a new one. Funny I never viewed the book as "self-help"...It opens in Santa Fe on July 14th, should be around the country by the end of that month.

Pirates I was ace, i hope II will be as good.
Theres seems to be a lot more 'magic' in this one.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Full of the heavens and time.
