Personally I think the anthology would suffer greatly if there was no system in place to ensure the quality of what gets in the book...
And yet, for some reason, you all picked my crappy story. Heh.

Yeah, I just got the e-mail from Tom with the book file, and I got your PM about Lulu.

Anyway, I guess I'll just PM you to figure out this Lulu thing.-jay

One question, is this Lulu British based? Does that mean we State-side people would pay international shipping for hard copies?

Thank you, guys. And I don't think I have expressed my appreciation to the authors as a group. We have some good stuff here. Thank you for your contributions, and to everyone, thanks for the experience of editing them. I'm proud of what we've done.

A side note, I'm going to be away from the computer for 4 days starting tomorrow. Don't think I'm ignoring anyone -- I shall return!!

No, it's based in the US. You guys will still get the cheapest shipping. However, lulu offers economy international which is considerably cheaper for us Brits (and I can only assume the rest of the world, too).

And Lulu, unlike Cafepress, accepts PayPal, so I can actually buy the thing. :letsparty:

Looks awesome!

A suggestion: we could put a limit on the number of submissions by each author -- say, one story or three poems. That would encourage folks to submit their best work.

Or alternately, we could make it clear from the outset that no matter how many submissions an author makes, the maximum that would be accepted for publication would be, say, one story or two poems, or whatever.

And guidelines for length would also be useful. I think we had an upper limit last time but I don't ever remember a discussion about a lower limit.

All I care about it is that it's good, not who wrote it. There are a lot more more enjoyable writings than there are spaces in the publishing market for them. I want to give readers access to them all. It's not as if including an extra story by one person is going to crowd another person's story out.
