Well, I assumed if you are reading this thread you're prepared for spoilers. (I didn't read it until I saw it.) However, I did stay vague on the details, so I can only beg forgiveness and hope no lasting damage was done.

Plot? Plot? What plot? Heh.

I just saw it yesteday...and A, it was just as we feared...heh. I wasn't too impressed.

Sure, it was kinda fun and entertaining. But I felt the whole "plot" was just lame and contrived to drag out the movie for 2.5 hours. I didn't feel anything. The actions of pretty much all of the characters were just illogical most of the time. (Me most of the time: "Why are you doing that?" [Can be used for any character.]) I just didn't care after a while what the hell happened.

And yeah, the ending was just over the top "Hey! We're making another movie! We're going to make you pay another 10 bucks and sit through another 2.5 hours of more random crap!"

I didn't even think it was as funny as the first one.

Overall...kinda entertaining...but very disappointing.-jay

(Jay, you're becoming way to serious of a person. Didn't like it because it didn't make sense ... what's next, not liking a movie because of bad grammer? I think you're thesis has warped you somewhere ...   )

I think it WAS funny, because they kept referring back to the first movie (a majority of the yuks came from 'total recall' of the best humor in the first movie)

Plus, you need to hang on til the end of the credits...they put in a tiny scene which will be kind of like a clue/add-in to the next film...(Of course, NOBODY told me this about the same thing happning in the FIRST film - which is why the monkey turning up again had me going HuH? 8O )

The first and second film, Sarge?
Spoiler
In the first film, the monkey swims back to the chest of gold (you see Barbossa lying dead on top of the treasure) and the monkey pinches an Aztec coin - turns 'undead' and grins into the camera.

In the SECOND film, the dog (who was last seen being chased by the natives as teh Pearl got away) is now their "king". He sits there on the throne with a big bone in his mouth.

Doubt it would be relevant in Oz...unless they are running a concurrent promo here. Haven't seen anything. Then again, I don't eat Kraft cheese...
