Just wondering about your reasons is all.Matrixman wrote:variol son wrote:Why no disection based awards MM?Personally, I just don't like to see the Dissections become part of a "race" for awards. I'm referring only to the actual chapter summaries, not the replies. I have no problem with a "best reply" award.Holsety wrote:Maybe you guys could do a best dissector for each book, or each subseries (first, second, and last chronicles)? And also have one for best, like, person at discussing the dissections or something? Best responder?
These are just my own ramblings. I don't speak for anyone else, and I don't expect anyone else to agree with me.

I ditto the wonder.
From my point of view, which is as a participant, I think it's one of the few areas of the Watch that are "constructive", in the sense that people work hard on what they post, and try to give something to other readers. If having an political argumenbt in the Think Tank is more rewarded than this, then my view of how the universe works would be shattered.

Would searching for and suggesting yummy recipes be seen as a 'constructive' area of the Watch?Wayfriend wrote:I ditto the wonder.

have you ever tried explaining yourself

i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]

cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

Alright, I'm going to wrap this thread up at the end of the day. If there are any other category ideas...
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Where's the love in that?
But yeah... too late.
