Easy then to acknowledge her and be done with it.

Nor Yekith has a point though sister Jove. Threatening to ruin a fellow deities trade simply because they failed to acknowledge you as the Goddess of Trade and Commerce seems a little extreme.

Spring: Month 4, Month 5, Month 6
Summer: Month 7, Simjenus, Month 9
Fall: Month 10, Month 11, Month 12
I notice that we will soon be entering the month of Simjenus.

There seems to be some difficulty in the idea of trade, as is being seen at the moment; in particular, the refusal of Bhakti to treat with Nor Yekith or his followers.
Jove, you claim your authority in the matter, and we support this. It would seem a solution to difficulties could easily be found by our cooperation with you. If you would agree with it, and if the other gods are amenable, we would put forward that your followers act as the mechanism for trade between the many factions in our world. A guild of merchants might be established in your name, and it can be put in Law that these traders should remain neutral, and may not be harmed by any faction.
In this way, free and open trade could be established between even the more hostile among us.
What are the thoughts of our brethren on this proposal?

Edit: Hmm. It seems some thought on this has come out while I was drafting my proposal, and Nor Yekith, at least, will likely not agree with it. The proposal stands, however.

Norn, I am saddened to find that I have received the soul of your prophet, sent to my realm by Queeaqueg's undead. I shall reward him or return him to you according to your wish in the matter--simply inform me of what you desire for him.

I thank you for your condolences Maeror, though my sorrow is great for now both my dear prophets are lost to Eiran forever. If you would return Trolin's soul to me, he shall become part of The Weave, an integral part of the fabric of reality even as I was.

As for the perpetrator of this foul act, what else can I say. Touche Queeaqueg. Touche.

Ah! My prophet has seen clearly when I could not.
I have called my persecutors fools; but how close I have come to being what they named me! A monster in truth, and in deed. I have brought suffering and pain; I, who have suffered, who knows what it is to feel pain. Can I ever be forgiven?

Hear me, mortal souls of Eiran: I have sinned against you. I will never be able to reverse the harm I have done. But never again will I cast you aside so easily. I extend my promise to all of the living: every soul that enters my realm will receive the choice I gave to my own: You shall be granted peace, or rebirth.

Thus it was that Porsulis's Night of Blood cleansed the ancient town of your presence, and bestowed it upon Maeror instead.

Believe me, reparations will be made. I do not wish my followers to behave in such ways - indeed, Illumar the God-Touched went to speak with the city's rulers peacefully; I do not know why they were slain. I will also rebuild your temple; the gods deserve more respect than these people have shown.
In repayment for the priests and followers of yours who were killed: ask of me, and you shall receive.

Peace or rebirth? Is there still an option for being returned to their god?

I ask this in reparation for the deaths of my priests and followers:- That you return to me the soul of Jiduth, one of my most beloved worshippers, who has passed on naturally this turn.

Yes, that option is still available to gods who would reclaim their followers. I no longer desire to hoard these souls for power: that way lies darkness. I will return this Jiduth.

Oh, what a 'shame'. A god has been murdered. I cannot decieve the pantheon, for it was I who supported the Goddess of Chaos to slay the Fallen and take his followers. But that was my Goddess' doing - she did not have any support from me. How proud I am, my womb-queen, that you slaughtered an enemy of mine. How proud you did this only after being new ascended.

Pantheon, witness the power of mutation. Under the pall of energy I have fashioned an army out of trees, rock, flesh and bone. The womb-pits have indeed vomited forth a mighty force. Witness the power of the combined armies of Nor Pupae. They utterly shattered three of his cities while my powers washed over his lands and twisted limbs and muscles, corroding skin, or shrivelling limbs. How beautiful. How majestic that I have engineered superior life. I have engineered a master race that has proven its worth in this world.

This is progress. This is beauty.

This is one step closer in creating paradise.

And Nor Yekith strikes me again.

He exploded his plague-ridden Houka that were in my lands. Although he claims to have recalled them after the invasion when he kidnapped my children, many remained behind. I captured some, at which point he said:
Yek wrote:I am appalled that not all the Houka returned to my lands.
Mind you, those I had not captured were still not recalled. (I had not expended Power to see if there were any, and had heard no reports of sightings, so did not actually know he had told them to remain. My own fault, I suppose, for not looking into the matter more closely.) And so, the plague is here. Maeror was good enough to use the DRP's I donated to fight it. However, the task is huge, and the Healer was not able to eradicate it. The plague remains in Shakari.

Mithyaat Vam, I am sorry. I tried to eradicate the plague, but I see that Kortral is being devestated by it. It is likely that Nor Yekith did not particularly intend harm against you, and you suffer merely because of your proximity to me. I hope you do not suffer too much before I can get everything taken care of.

And Norn, I cannot guarantee that the plague will not reach your lands. My apologies.

And, of course, Jove is also threatened.

I hope I have Power enough (and Mearor's continued cooperation :D) to eventually eradicate it before all are dead.

Well struck, Yek. *bows*

All should beware any followers of Yek in their lands. Despite repeated statements that his Houka are not carriers, he exploded them to cause this catastrophe. He may not hate the rest of you as he has always hated me, but, it I were you, I would not take chances.

You hear that distant rumbling, Bhakti? The sound as though some great beast is tearing itself apart? That is my laughter. Mocking laughter. But genuinely, greatly amused, not merely to sneer at you.

Why do I sit here atop the Weeping Ziggurat and laugh so loudly? My followers cluster at the base and weep in fear. I laugh because for once, a mistake (someone else's) has resulted in your harm. I repeat that I did not release the plague. I repeat that a cult of demons have started to take control of my Houka. By the Oath of the All Father, I had one of the arms of my cult conduct an inquisition to rid my lands of them.

And I repeat emphatically: I did not create the plague. Recall that it devastated my lands.

Oh for the Love of Xar. You said you had recalled your Houka. You didn't. You claimed they did not carry the plague. They do. You intentionally exploded them in my lands, and, despite Maeror's use of my DRP's, the plague is still in my lands, and is devestating Mithyaat Vam's.

Ah, my mistake, you are, truly, innocent.

I believe that Jove was merely pointing out that as the Goddess of Trade and Commerce, it would be polite for us to acknowledge her when we make trade agreements with each other.
Norn, you hit the nail right on the head. I would not wish any trade to be stifled.
Nor Yekith has a point though sister Jove. Threatening to ruin a fellow deities trade simply because they failed to acknowledge you as the Goddess of Trade and Commerce seems a little extreme.
I stand corrected. My threats were perhaps too quick and I apologize for any offense.

I only want everyone to financially prosper.

I was pointing out (perhaps too strongly) that it would show good manners to acknowledge me in matters of trade.
There seems to be some difficulty in the idea of trade, as is being seen at the moment; in particular, the refusal of Bhakti to treat with Nor Yekith or his followers.
I cannot force Bhakti to trade with Nor Yekith nor vice versa. I would, however, encourage Bhakti to reconsider for his own benefit and the benefit of the people of Landir.

Excellent idea. NEUTRAL being the key word.

Are you mad?? I have not once acted against Yek. Yet first he broke the intent and the letter of an agreement that he asked me for, and now he gives me the plague, and he continues to admit that he intends to destroy me (although not kill me!)! Can you possibly give me a reason I should trust his people in my lands or the safety of my people in his????

I do not understand why you call me mad, nor why you stress that you have not acted against Nor Yekith (I have not contradicted this). You refuse to treat with Yekith--this is a simple fact, independant of the reasons behind it. My statement was an accurate one.
In any case, this is exactly why I made my suggestion, Bhakti. Your people would never have to come into contact with Nor Yekith's, if trade was conducted through means of a third party.

A guild of neutral merchants would be just the ticket. Maeror, I would love to work with you on drafting such an agreement that would be beneficial to all. Did you say you were working on one?

We could have Hedra Iren, in her infinite knowledge, look over the agreement so that it is legal.

Are you so forgetful? You were going to return them to me, but you were so paranoid about me setting up a trap I did not want to deal with you. I said you can have them, at which point you said you would care for them. If you don't believe me, talk to the holy scribes who record our meetings. You'll find in the scrolls the history of our public discussions.

And please, one more accusation that I sent the plague into your lands and I will strike you. I have said again and again the plague is not my creation and that a cult of demons is taking control of my houka across the world. I am conducting an inquisition to find these demon worshippers.

In an act of good will I will stop the plague in your lands. I will expend energy and mutate the plague into a harmless form.

Jove, thankyou for your apology. I look forward to seeing your merchants guild become established, and I am more than happy for my people to deal with them. If we can trade, then that is all the better.
