Heh, I thought chainlink was back, too.

I'm afraid there's no denying

It *is* a little scary when old threads come back.... (Especially when I have to read the whole bloody thread to see if I responded the first time....)

Ireland
Spain, especially the Alhambra
Prague
Alaska and Hawaii (I've been to the other 48 states)
Santa Fe, NM
Stonehenge (we missed it on the first trip to England)
Greek Islands
The Alps
Nepal

Planning to cross off Ireland (and Stonehenge) this summer, and hopefully another destination next winter -- I'd like to spend my 50th birthday somewhere interesting. It'll be awhile before I get to Prague, though; I just started Czech lessons on Saturday and I'd like to know enough of the language before I go so that I don't make a total fool of myself.

Czech lessons, huh? You get a thumbs up for going to all that effort to learn the language, and I'm sure that the locals will appreciate it too. :)

Thanks, Lyr! My grandparents came from Czechoslovakia and we still have relatives near Plzen -- my cousin visited them a couple of years ago. I understand that most of them don't speak English. So my main reason for taking Czech is to be able to communicate better with them. We'll see how it goes. Some of the people in the class are clearly taking Czech 101 for the second time. I'm hoping some sort of genetic memory will kick in for me....
