Well, Mr. Radcliff anyway ... and only becasue he is playing a role in the play Equus in London. Daniel looking ripped...! not bad for a 17 year old.
Of course parents are up in arms that the ACTOR is playing such a role...
Of course they want him to stay pure Harry Potter forever,,, "My children look up to him..."

He's an actor, in a cool role. get over it....

AFAIK the reason Daniel took the role was to AVOID being typecast as Harry forever. It's a well respected play and I really can't see what the big deal is.

Yeah, but you just know some parents are going to take children to see it and end up complaining. Never mind the 'parental guidance' notices on the posters, they'll see 'Harry Potter' and won't bother to find out what it is they're going to see.

Well, some people will always insist on being idiotic, and then getting angry about the consequences.

I think it's great. Alan is the sort of role that any actor worth his salt would give a great deal to play. And it's an opportunity that lasts for such a very short time. Dan is the perfect age for this....another two or three years at most and he'd be too old. Is there any chance it will be filmed?

But seriously, good on him. What better way to avoid being typecast? As for grumpy parents, I have to ask what the big deal is. It's not like any of their kids are going to see the play (at least I hope not).

There is always some nutter who wants to piss and moan about something (like that crazy woman in Georgia who's still trying to get the books banned). If teenage girls (or boys) want to oogle Dan, then i say fine, he's a hell of a lot better teenage role model than some of the garbage we have here in the US.
