Congrats on your contacts, dlb! I hope they work out well for you. I started wearing contacts in 2001 and couldn't bear to be without them now.

I've been wearing contacts since the late 1980s...they rock!

I am at home, and half asleep with a warm cat on my lap. Next up will be a nice long hot shower and bed. (It's a little chilly outside!)

First:

Congratulations to DLB on the contacts! I caved in and got contacts for my astigmatism about 4 years ago (wouldn't wear glasses consistently--felt they got in the way). Now I can't imagine how I did without them.

Congrats to Cail for getting your bits properly snipped, and gaining peace of mind. :)

Sea, glad you are finally feeling better.

Xar, women are complicated, and some more than others. Sorry that things are rough for you right now. Hope all works out to your satisfaction. |G

And for me. . . tomorrow I am going to go change my address all over the place, and spend the day packing up my earthly belongings (those which are still in this house). I'm supposed to move the furniture and such on Saturday. Which reminds me. . . I need to call the truck rental place and reserve a truck for Saturday. Joy. :?

Anyway, in case I don't get back for a few days, take care, everyone. |G

I feel sleepy.

Good pasrty last night, though. We watched Boondock Saints at around two in the morning. I love that flick though.

I'm also anoyyed.

It's be three days, and I've heard nothing from Best Buy.

*sigh*

Back to the job search.

I need to find a job to pay me to walk around outside and read science fiction books.

I had the weirdest of dreams about someone I used to know. I can't remember the specifics, but I do remember toward the end of it being washed over by this feeling of relief and resolution--a weight lifted off my shoulders, so to speak. Weird.

Did it stay when you woke up? I love good feelings like that.

That's the thing. I have got up and there *is* a weight lifted from my shoulders. Weird, considering that person has been my greatest "demon" for longer than I want to remember.

...and, yep, I sound like I'm losing my mind!

Nah. I've had the same thing happen to me.

I dreamt that me and someone I've been having a lot of problems with had a HUGE row. When I woke up, I felt a lot better after having a great fist-fight with him. Even if It was just a dream!

I'm puzzled, and trying to think things through. I think someone is upset with me, and I'm trying to figure out what on earth I could have done to that person. Or. . . else I am (possibly) reading too much into an offhand comment.

For once in my life, I'm going to gamble on the latter, unless said person comes out and tells me different. Gah! I'm not cut out for intrigues. :?

In other news, I feel hopeful. I am buying tickets for the Police concert for myself and a few friends first thing in the morning (when they go on sale). I am hoping that I can get some decent seats for a decent price. :D

And now. . . back to packing. :)

Sometimes I feel like a nut.

However, there are other times, such as this one, when I do not.

I am quite perplexed.-jay

Well, spring break's on. Time for too much sleep, too little sleep.

Going to do at least 3 days of nothing, then going to spend the rest of the break doing college work. Yep--I'm that boring these days!

I was reading the newspaper online today, and I noticed an article in the local section for Rome, saying that a girl from the neighbourhood where I live had died yesterday in a freak accident... The name rang a bell, so I called home and found out she was a high school friend of my brother's, who learned of it last evening. Unlike my high school classmates, my brother and his classmates kept in touch after high school, so it's a very bad time for him...

That's too bad, Xar. Sorry your brother is going through a rough time.

Cail: Good for you, and your boys!

DLB: Congrats on the contacts! I've got astigmatism too, and I've been through my share of issues with contacts. Finally was able to wear them successfully when I was in my late 20s. Then I got pregnant. Pregnancy changes fluid levels all over your body, including the stuff inside your eyeballs -- so I couldn't wear my contacts anymore. After the baby came, I didn't have time to mess around with contacts. Haven't worn 'em since. Although since I passed 40, I've thought off and on about getting them again. I could then dump the bifocals and use reading glasses from the drugstore for close work.

Doing okay today. Paid off a bunch of bills this month, yay!

The Girl Scout troop has a cookie booth sale tomorrow, and the girl who's supposed to start at 1pm called about an hour ago to say she's not sure she can do it because she's now scheduled to work. Arrgh. MagickMaker has a cold and went to bed early -- dunno how she'd feel about doing this booth sale. But *some*body's gotta do it. I've got 190 boxes of cookies sitting here, and I want my living room back! :(

Going off to get one hour less of sleep now....

The lads are doing better, but still sore.

I still think the worst part about this is having to wear a freakin' jock strap 24/7.

Girls who injure hearts suck.

I wont say 'break' because only my brother could do that to me.

What kind of nut?
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.
