The rules have been updated, adding hard limits to the number of domains a deity can have, and to the number of Prophets a deity can sustain at any given time.

If we're editing, then my new dogma is my signature, if you want to put it in the game thread Xar, that's fine.

:::with sincere advance apologies to Anne McCaffrey for the obvious derivitivenss (is that a word?) of the story I am about to post. a creative writer I am most certainly not!:::

I also wish to apologize ahead of time for double posting in the Game thread. This story is ready and I know not how long it will be before another posts...

If you're going to copy an author's work on dragons, you may as well choose the best!

Oh, and I sincerely hope that you've asked the god of love's blessing on your mating flights!

Agreed and done during the last Turn!

:::I only hope I did said author proud:::

I hate writing!!!

Also, the Pern dragons are the only ones I am intimately familiar with. My love of Pern is deeper and far older than my love of The Land (the audience gasps), hence my Watch user name, and my decades old AOL screen name. I have had other series with dragons suggested to me so I can learn more of them; Neverness being first on my list to read when I finally complete my journey to The Tower (still currently wading through The Stand).

Further suggestions would be much appreciated!

OOO!! The Stand is good. But there are no dragons in it, hehe.

You have been told about A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin, haven't you? There are dragons in those books.

So I assumed from the first page, m'lady. I read the original edition many years ago, but this is my first time through The Complete and Uncut Edition.

Yes, m'lady. But he who has advised me the most on books he knows of dragons tells me said series didn't grab him. So I had put it lower on my list. Do you disagree?

Very much so. Although the dragons are scarce in the books, overall it is a good story.

They are second on my list of favorite books after Donaldson's.

There are no dragons in Neverness. Mind you, it should still be extremely high on your list!!

But maybe Earthsea should be next. There are dragons there, after all. Not nearly as prevalent as Pern, although the last two books have much more than the first four. And they're extremely different than Pern's dragons. At least what I've heard of Pern's dragons, and all I've heard of them is from O-gon-cho. But I know they are very, very different.

That was second, based on what I had thought I heard.
