What about this one?
"I command that the Illearth Stone be destroyed utterly, that from this moment on none shall ever be able to use its power. Oh, and while you're at it, Fire-Lions, why don't you go have some fun in the Wightwarrens?"

I would not chance this one. Amok specifically mentions the Illearth Stone:Michael Giantfriend wrote:What about this one?

This is an undesirable result that does not involve anyone using its power. Amok is obviously not saying that this is what would happen, but can we rule it out? Can the Stone's evil be negated? Perhaps only one who has drunk the Blood of the Earth, but has not given a Command, can know - as Elena knew that "the walls of death do not prevail." Maybe she could have seen the nature of the Stone well enough to know if such a thing could have been done."If a drinker were to command the destruction of the Illearth Stone, perhaps the Stone's evil would survive uncontained to blight the whole Land."

Woagh ... at first view I thought he was saying that you shouldn't handle the stone after stop in at the local watering hole! I thought that could pretty well have been a given!Han-shan wrote:."If a drinker were to command the destruction of the Illearth Stone, perhaps the Stone's evil would survive uncontained to blight the whole Land."
Do you think I like being this dangerous?
woah... i must have gone straight over that... now that would be some seriously screwed up stuff...
now if stuff like that happened then you really couldn't make a safe command could you???
"i command for a bacon sandwich, with extra ketchup!" - at which point the land gets filled with ketchup and every1 dies...
NUTS!

Destroying the Illearth Stone or any of the other banes hidden in the earth may be dangerous but what about commanding the earthpower to seal them away beyond the reach of any being.
Of course, you have to hope that someone doesn't use the power of command to undo your good work.
I'm just re-reading the chrons now. Was there any reason why Foul couldn't use the power of command? Couldn't he command the Arch of Time to falter?
