When would you have cracked it with TC?

Post by Landwaster »

TC tries to get on our nerves at every opportunity, especially in Chron #1, and more especially in LFB. We eventually warm to him in most cases.

Now, there is one particular moment when we would all like to punch holy heck out of him ... down near a river not far from Mithil Stonedown.

But if you removed that from the equation, at which point would you lose your resolve and give him a pasting?

For me, its when he throws the artwork out the window. If I had been there, he would have followed it.

Personally, I never really felt any anger or irritation at Covenants actions - he was fairly reasonable given his situation, but perhaps his second 'bargain' was going a little too far...

His bargains were in the sense of a way to help the Land and keep his sanity - his first bargain was with the Ranyhyn. The second he made with himself about Elena on the way to the Skyweir after he saw her 'other sight' for what it was. Can't remember the exact bargain, but it was pretty selfish of him, and involved using Elena.

Mine was his insensitivity at the loss of Variol & Tamarantha. I could not stomach his attitude in the face of Mhoram's loss. Bloody Hell. Just about anything else he did (outside of Lena) is irritating but did not bother me quite as much as this.

Hmm..... Can it be in the other books as well?
1) When he stopped Brinn and Cail from killing Linden
2) The 248th time he said "Hellfire"
3) When he was mean to Findail
4) When he started tapdancing with a teacozy on his nose

Um, that's all I can think of for TOT right now. (I think TOT is the best of the books, so I pickeded it. :) )

Oh yeah, at Soaring, when he demanded the (staff?) was burnt! Sheeze.

And Shalimar, I loved your wording of 'when he was mean to Findail' :D but the tea cosy ... that one's got me flummoxed :?

When he, Elena, and Amok were nearing the Earthroot, the bargain that he made and his decision not to stop her when he knew something bad was going to happen means he was cruising for a bruising.

Same here. Why destroy art? Someone has worked hard on it and then Covenant just throws it away. It wasn't even his. He did it just because he didn't like it.

 :LOLS: Yeah, did it annoy any other people with the constant use the of word "Hellfire"? I mean, what a freak Thomas was! Why didn't he just say oh f**k! like a normal person?
