Great pics everyone!

I love that dam, Edge; and Vain I love the trees. My mum and dad went to Rotorua when they were in NZ a couple of years ago. I think they swum in some hot pools there or something.

Hey, Reave, you're right, those baby tapirs are too darn cute. They should hang out with Sea's wombat.

Vain, those are nice shots! I especially like the one of the trees. (And they all displayed fine on my monitor.)

Luci, at last I get to see some of the urban sights of SF. Thanks! It does look like a little jungle down there. Saks...too rich for my wallet!

Today was the first day of Autumn! I went out and took some fall foliage shots in one of Winnipeg's nicer neighborhoods:

Very nice, MM! Getting those squirrels to pose for you.

Joy, thanks for dropping by! I guess the squirrels were too busy filling up for winter, so they tolerated me. :)

I love fall foliage shots. Thanks for posting those, MM. What little color change we get here generally doesn't occur until February. And even then you have to really search it out.

I hope more of y'all share such photos.

:) I follow this thread, even though I don't have a decent camera. Last year I tried to get a yellow leaves shot and the color lost all its intensity.

Well done MM! I've been making repeated attempts to photo the many that scamper around my route to work, but they're just too quick!
Great autumnal pictures.

Vain: that's some pretty amazing mix of terrain there!

Luci: Decent-sized palm trees in that shot!

James: Nutter.
:D

Edge: Great views, and your dog avatar is very endearing!

Same with me. Up here in the Evergreen state, I don't see a lot of fall color change. It's pretty much green year-round.

More excellent photos MM!

I can almost hear the leaves rustle...

The leaves are far too wet here to make any sort of rustling noise. I think we skipped summer this year!

That could also be a lightsaber, warning of a Jedi fight ahead. Or it could be a baton, warning of a conductor about to start a performance. (Yes, lame, lame...)

Wow, nobody else has autumn pics to share?

Beautiful, MM!

What little color change we get here won't happen until mid-February...

Florida has only two colors during the year:

Brown (dead trees/leaves due to drought)
Green (Springtime & raining season)

:D

Seriously though...

*shaking head*

Not up here. I know of 2 two-lane roads, one in Ocala and one near Hague, that has muted color changes (mostly yellows and some faded red) in late January/early February. There are probably some more somewhere, I just haven't discovered them yet. If I had a camera I would try to take some pictures this year.
