Wow, I haven't thought about lunchboxes in years.
After reading this thread, I really miss my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lunchbox...

Stonemaybe, alot of times I keep lunch in them. I only have one I use to stash stuff and that is my Edward Gorey, "Gashly Crumb Tinies" one.
Ok, the power ranger lunchbox is fabulous. I am a bit jealous. I used to have a Dukes of Hazzard lunchbox way back when. Those are pretty coveted in the lunchbox collectors world and sometimes go for 300-500 bucks.

My mother bought all my lunchboxes for me, and she *never* got it right.
The year I wanted a Barbie lunchbox, my mom bought me a Tammy lunchbox. That's Tammy, as in Tammy the wannabe-Barbie fashion doll. Never heard of her? Neither had anybody at the time. I didn't even *have* a Tammy doll.
The year I wanted a Monkees lunchbox, my mom bought me a Beatles lunchbox. Yes. *That* Beatles lunchbox. I mean, I liked the Beatles okay, but c'mon! The Monkees were soooo much cooler! Plus I had a big crush on Davy. (Oh stop it. I was, like, eight, okay?)
I was so disappointed with that lousy Beatles lunchbox that I got some big honkin' orange-and-hot-pink '60s flower decals and covered the Beatles with them. Front, back, and sides.
A few years ago, when I found out how much Beatles lunchboxes were going for, I rescued mine from my mom's house and started pulling off the decals...and pulled the paint off of Ringo's face.
So I am a doofus twice. And still broke.

::now adding another tick next to the box "Reasons for being jealous of adopted twin sister"::
I grew up reciting Gashlycrumb Tinies to all who would listen as kid back in the 70's. I remember there was a lifeguard that I was hot for, and I recited it to her. I'm surprised she ever talked to me again. I was under 10 years old.
Sorta explains how I ended up the way I did, though.

So get wasted all of the time
And you'll have the time of your life

I've done a bit of checking, and as far as I can tell, yes, the film was also called Philosopher's Stone everywhere that isn't illiterate.Menolly wrote:hehehe...CovenantJr wrote:They all lose, by virtue of being Potter boxes. I learned my lesson in the JKR forum regarding the wrong title of the first book.
Is the movie also called Philosopher's Stone everywhere else? After all, the lunchboxes are for the movies, not the books.
