Good Role-playing Games

It's getting towards christmas and my parents are badgering me into thinking of as many things as possible for them to waste their money on. I've already listed the things I was perfectly capable of buying myself, but they seem to want to spend more... and I have no objection to that.

I'm trying to find out what good RPGs there are for the PS2. I prefer FF-type games, really, but I do look at others... I don't really like real-time combat in RPGs, I'm usually no good at it...

Any recommendations?

I don't really have many already - FFX, Summoner... I think thats all the ones I own for PS2...

Knights of the Old Republic is the best RPG you can get. It's amazing. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

yeah but, KOTOR is amazing, trust me Hierachy, it's out on the PS2 as well. Get it!

Okay, I've found a 'Legend of Legaia' on PSOne, and a 'Legaia 2: Duel Saga' on PS2....

BTW, what are your thoughts on Grandia (1 and 2 - I'm making a point of getting some of the PSOne games I missed as well as the PS2 ones)?

Grandia 1 is good. Not among my favourites, but well above average. Vagrant Story is good, if quite difficult to play to start with

Yeah, I've played KOTOR, Darth. It's very good. I had alot of fun playing on my mates' XBox.
