thefirst wrote:Unfortunately, my prevalent activity today, was that I had to have two of my dogs put down. Ginger, and Gomez, mother and son, whom I, and the doc believed to be poisoned. I did not have them do a toxicology, as it was hard enough to maintain any kind of calm in front of my daughter, and it would not have brought them back. Her puppy is also sick, though not with the same symptoms as the other two had. It's very sad, while Ginger was about 6years old and had lived a very spoiled life, Gomez, on the other hand, was only about 8months old. I'm sitting here, after all the things that have happened this week, not knowing whether I should fight sleep and keep vigil over Moonie, or try and get some rest myself. My mother took my little girl home with her tonight, just in case. I think I'll probably end up laying on the couch with a puppy on my chest. I just felt the need to get some of this off my chest. I love my animals, and I know that making sure that they didn't suffer anymore, was the best thing, but that doesn't make it any easier. I've already had to bury 3 pets this year, I'm starting to lose some of my optimism, but I suppose that's to be expected. I know things will get better/easier, but grief, also has it's place.
You no doubt received my email reply to this today. But anyway, here's a public hug: |G

Thanks you guys, I appreciate it, I really do. Now, after I see my mother today, she's probably going to make me go to the hospital, cause I've most likely broken at least one of the little bones in my left foot. I feel like such a goober.

Thefirst... I want to torture whomever did that to your dogs. Torture them mercilessly, like truss them up and leave them lying in the hot sun after stuffing their nose full of raw meat. Leave them there suffering while the meat rots and breeds maggots inside their nasal cavity.... maggots that will eat the meat and move on to the inside of the nasal cavity and work their way into the brain.... so that they suffer with the horrible sensation of live maggots squirming around inside their face eating their brain from the inside out and the horrible painful sensation of being baked alive by a hot sun, skin stretching and cracking, raw flesh oozing blood and other fluids, lips cracking tongue swelling to fill the mouth and throat from lack of water.... That ought to do it. Well, actually, I might have to check on their progress after a day or so and I will make sure to drink cold water close enough to their faces that they can even smell the water. Yeah, that's about what they deserve.

Now go get that foot looked at! |G |G |G

Jenn, make sure they're lying on a sheet of reflective sheet metal before leaving them out in the sun...

 Thank you Jenn, for that heartwarming sentiment. I really do appreciate it, really, very sweet of you. And I promise, I will get my foot seen to, I'll have no choice, I'll be seeing my mother in a few minutes, and nothing escapes her gaze. :P

That entire form of torture was used? 8O Or just bake em on a metal plate?

thefirst, anyone who maliciously hurts innocent animals and willfully causes you and your daughter pain deserves nothing but misery. I say truss the bastards up and let em rot.

No.
Just the trussing, lying on reflective sheet metal, and baking in the sun.
The meat was left out.
But it's a terrific addition...

Well done.

Interesting today?

We found a bank...credit union actually, who is willing to give us an RRsp Loan, at prime rate, and a 10,000 car loan...even though I declared bankruptcy less than 3 years ago.
All we had to do, was promise them we'd let them take over our mortage when it comes up for renewal next year.
But they're going to give us the loans THIS year.

Also, I had chicken for lunch.
I thought you were a ripe grape
a cabernet sauvignon
a bottle in the cellar
the kind you keep for a really long time

Congrats Drew!

Menolly, that is the fate that awaits anyone who so much as thinks of harming a hair on Moose. That or I slip them some poisonous mushrooms. Did you know that some common pacific northwest mushrooms that are deadly poisonous take days to kill you? They affect the central nervous system and eventually cause death. I hear it's very very painful and horrible and there is no known antidote.....

I think there's a special hell for people who hurt any kind of innocent creature, and if not, we'll build one.

Cool, so was it a proper show, or was it one of their touring "rock concerts?"
Rock concert.
But it was awesome.

I am assuming the show you saw is more what I expected, and just features the trio?
The regular show definitely has some music throughout it, but has more "performance art" I guess you'd call it. Or maybe satire of performance art. I dunno. It is fantastic. I've not been to one of their rock concerts, but I have what they released on DVD of one of their shows, and loved it. I'd highly suggest their regular show too. I've only been to the one in Chicago, but I've been two, maybe three times.

*wondering if BGM is still permanently performing at Downtown Disney*

It's a drive away, but next time we go maybe I'll be able to talk Hyperception into splurging on tickets.

Someone poisoned your dog, thefirst?

Damn low bastard. Doing that to an animal. They ought to have the poison they used shoved down their throat.
