They're still compensating for Loverboy and Anne Murray.

Funny, I think "Bare Necessities" was playing during my First Time.

Okay, I'm kidding.

Ew! :-)

You know what?

There are SO MANY great Candian bands.
It's just for some reason, no one conciders if a Canadian band MADE IT until they sell a million records in the States.
(or should I just say Sell-out!!)

THe on'e who have the integrity to not change their style to suit the fickle US market, get loads of respect up here, and no one Down There ever really gets to know them.

Okay...to keep this thread on topic:

First Canadian Album:

Okay, it WAS Loverboy, but I was eight.

The first I bought that DIDN'T suck, was probebly Sloan's, Smeared album.

First Canadian album was "Fly By Night".

Drew, you know I just love picking on you folks from Canadia, and I give full credit to great Canadian bands like Rush, Triumph, and Tea Party.

But the list of awful, awful Canadian bands is just overwhelming.

Sorry, but I'm still trying to rid myself of the thought that anybody could do anything sexual while "bare necessities" was playing in the background. Until I read that, Jungle Book was one of my all time favorite Disney cartoons, right up there with Robin Hood.

I'm deeply sorry that Canada inflicted Celine Dion on the world...

I think my first CD/album by a Canadian artist was Gowan's Strange Animal. Actually, I can count all the CDs I have by Canadian artists on one hand. I seem to like pop/rock from everywhere else except Canada. I'm not entirely sure why that is, but it's not high on my list of things to be worried about.
