I found a recipe on weightwatchers.com this week for slow-cooker ropa vieja, so I decided to try making it.
The original recipe makes 12 servings , so I cut it in half. Which is a good thing, because it calls for flank steak, which Giant was selling for a price about equivalent to that of gold.
Anyhow, I started it at suppertime, duh, so it's done now, at 12:30am, duh.
It's okay, but only okay. I'll have to look at a normal recipe for ropa vieja and see what they did to change it.

Me too!
Right now: a red d'Anjou pear.
Wait: I just looked at some of the previous posts. Lyr said she had peanut butter cookies in the oven and would be eating *one* shortly. How do you DO that? How do you stop at one??

See, the problem for me would be getting them off the pan...onto the cooling rack...and then into the closed, out-of-sight container...without them all making a detour into my stomach. No matter how big they were. Sigh. Back to the "who's trying to lose weight" thread for me, I guess....
