Free Books

Post by Cameraman Jenn »

I am downsizing my book collection to fit the new apartment better so I have a few books up for grabs if anyone wants them. I'll update the list as I go along.

Currently up for grabs:

Jean M. Auel's "The Shelters of Stone" paperback

I've also got a bunch of vhs tapes, mostly Disney movies if anyone has kids who might want them:

Sleeping Beauty
101 Dalmations
and The Jungle Book with Jason Scott Lee
The Fox and The Hound
Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast

What an offer!
I have all of TCTC now, except for Runes. Although I need to get EL's copy of FR back to him.
Beorn wears out his Harry Potters in a heartbeat, I had to borrow Sorcerer's Stone from the library for the group read, and will have to do the same for PoA, if we ever get that far.
And the Tower...I would love to own the complete collection. We all read them from the library.

If I am lucky to get any of them, you choose which.
Thanks.

Just enjoy the books and pass the good kharma on. That's all I ask. Oh, and I was thinking that I'll just send my whole ragtag HP selection to you Pam because I did buy the hardcover collectors edition of the HP series in the wooden chest so I can just read those if I want. The paperbacks are a bit tattered especially the Goblet of Fire but hey, they are readable. GOF had both a wine spill and a left out on the porch and the rain came in moment but heck, free is free, right? 8)

Consider it done Balon. Pm me your mailing address. I need to dig grammer rock out of storage before I can mail them though. The box I grabbed today only had America/Science/Multiplication Rock. Grammer must be in another box. I also have a book in mind, now that you ask for the vids that I am going to send you as well. I think you would really like it. It's titled "Legends" and is edited by Robert Silverberg. It's a collection of short stories by a bunch of fantasy authors including George RR Martin, Ursula K Leguin, Robert Jordan, Tad Williams and the list goes on. It's hardcover but the sleeve got destroyed. If you already have it or aren't interested let me know and I will add it to the list for other takers.

I must say YAY! This feels good giving my things to those who will appreciate them!

Thanks Jenn!
This will hopefully keep Beorn's hard copies in better condition.

Awesome, awesome anthology.
Runner of Pern is in that, isn't Jenn? Or was that Legends II?

Such a nice thing to do Jenn! Just the thought of trying to downsize my book collection brings on a headache!

Thank you Chrysalis and Lucimay. It really does feel good to spread a little love with free book gifting. I would much rather watchers got the books than strangers.

I have not heard of this, but it sounds intriguing. Is it still up for grabs?

Consider it yours Auleliel. It's a fun read, very traditional fantasy but the writing is clean and there are some interesting charactors and creatures. I enjoyed it. Just pm me your address and I can get those out right away.

This series sounds intriguing, if it is still up for grabs. Thanks for your generosity! :D

Thanks! I hadn't planned on checking a bag, but I will if it'll save you some money. Plus it'll give me a place to put my souvenirs and stuff. ;)
