Dragon*Con 2008

Post by Menolly »

Dragon*Con will be in Atlanta, GA Labor Day Weekend, August 29th through September 1. Early bird passes go up in price May 15th.

I have always wanted to go, but have never been.
Anne McCaffrey is scheduled to be there; I would love to see her in person, just once.

I need to work on Hyperception; even if just tentative, I think I can manage the $35 membership fee for the weekend before it goes up on the 16th, and afford to lose it if I can't actually make the con.

Is there any interest at all on the Watch on others attending? There are group rates available for groups of 10 or more, but the savings is minimal ($5/person) for the effort that would be needed to organize an order.

However, if others plan to go, I would love to hear plans for accomodations.

...although...I might just crash in the video rooms... ;)

I've said for years that I want to go to Dragon*Con, but I don't know if this year is the year I can make it. Money will be tight for a while, and I've spent most of my ready-money on the trip to San Fran. I guess I want to think it though for a while. :?

*nodding*

I can understand that, ~Lyr.
I'm trying to justify if outlaying $65 now (I mistyped earlier) and possibly losing it if I can't go is better than waiting until the last minute and spending $90...

...not unless he offers first...

8)

And I have no idea how far he actually is from Peachtree. "Atlanta" is...huge to this college town girl.

I'd say that Iq lives at least an hour away from Peachtree.

Thanks, dlb.
Unless anyone else decides to come, I'll plan on the video rooms.
If I don't know anyone there, I'll be even less concerned about appearance. ;)

After some thought and discussion with relevant parties, I won't be attending Dragon*Con this year. Sowwy.
