This trip began in September of 1972. I was an entering student at a junior college here in SW Ohio. I worked part time and took classes that made me a full time student. Well I got my Associates in June of 1975 and the ecomony wasn't very good. So I stay at the P/T job until I could find a job and expanded my studies. In 1977 I got the equivelent of a second assoicates and landed a job at a glass manufacturing facility. It was one year later I took a job at the same college I had attended.
Well after a little over 30 years of service, I have finally achieve a goal that many people could only dream of. I have retire with a lifetime income and benefits. This will be the first full summer I will have without a job. I am finding it a bit mixed right now because of the long road I have traveled to reach this point. I will most likely take my first full summer off in 36 years.
But what sound does a 30 year old umbilical cord make?
It makes many sounds.
Addition: I am 53 turning 54 this summer.
