Soundtracks
When you think back to the Albums that have meant the most to you over the course of your life, how many were soundtracks?
Wide Eyed Stupid
"Meant the most"?
None.
"That I've enjoyed immensely" or "Reminds me of a certain time"? Several.
Prior to the DVD and How The West Was Won, the soundtrack for The Song Remains the Same was a staple.
Way back when, I recall playing the Vision Quest soundtrack quite a bit as well.

The Song Remains the Same is great. I still haven't heard the new remaster. But I don't really think of concert movies as "soundtracks"... Yessongs would fall in the same category, for a long time it was my favorite album. But since they're concert movies I don't look at them like soundtracks.
Other than that, I don't know that any were that important. Maybe a certain song from a movie (like Billy Jack). Or 'Remember Me' at the end of Troy... 'Into The West' from LOTR. I'm sure there are lots of other songs I can't think of right now.

Standing In The Shadows of Motown, Spinal Tap and That Thing You Do are the only ones I own that I consider true soundtracks. I have Quadrophenia, but didn't even know it was a movie. I plan on getting Birdy because Peter Gabriel did it. I remember liking the soundtracks to Roadie and Heavy Metal, too.

I actually collect soundtracks and they're the thing I listen to most frequently. But I collect instrumental ones rather than song compilation ones. I use them to write to, to dream to, to muse to. Some of my particular favourites (ones which have songs on them that I associate :
