Well, since you both liked it than I guess I liked it too. ;)
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Sorry, SS. I just found the Hulk plot to diverge too far off the comic. Talbot was the worst character in the movie; he had NOTHING to do with the comic character. Banner Sr. was portrayed okay until he got the super powers of the Absorbing Man (it looked for a second he was gonna be the Abomination, and later he looked like Zzzax). And what's up with letting dad rile up Banner near the end? That was totally the stupidest scene in the movie. What happened to the gut who was gonna fry Banner if he so much as twitched an eyelid? It just ruined it for me. I really liked the scenes where the Hulk was trashing tanks and stuff; did he really need a super powered enemy this time?

Sounds like you hated it to me. What am I missing?

Daredevil had to be the most forgetful hero in the world. He forgot that he was supposed to have a "secret" identity and later he forgot that he was stabbed in the shoulder. Bullseye and Kingpin both forgot to finish him off. Bullseye forgot that extreme noise was DD's weakness. The Swat dude forgot he was supposed to shoot both DD and Bullseye. Elektra forgot Bullseye killed her. DD's billy club forgot it wasn't a spear....I could go on all night.

I couldn't agree more. Most ardent Daredevil fans agree with you. There are some here on KW. (danlo)

Now, watch as I talk about what was wrong with Spiderman, X-2, Mystery Men, and LXG.

hmmm...If I wasn't such a fan of LXG I would probably make some sarcastic wisecrack about an enormous submarine navigating the canals of Venice. ;)

A very thin, sword of the ocean kind of submarine right?
Those kinds of things don't bother me. Vampires? Immortals? Invisible men? Chemically induced transformations? These things aren't fantastic enough that you actually notice that the size of the sub doesn't fit?

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA!

In comparison with Hulk and DD, that gaffe in infenitismal. And do not be misled; I am comparing LXG to them. X-2 was the best one uopt this year, and LXG was second best.

hmmm...sounds like the Mardi gras week I spent in New Orleans back in 1990.

If I remember that Sword of the Sea was probably 50 - 100 ft tall. Sure it was thin enough but the depth required for it to navigate the canals...Anyway, it just wasn't realistic! ;)

It's a comic book film; it's not supposed to be realistic. I just watched it again last night, and I have to say it has the best plot of all comic book movies; except for perhaps Mystery Men.

I have to agree with Mr. dAN. If I had spent any time being distracted by the scale of the Nautilus vs. the canals or that Quartermain could hit a moving target at 900 yards by being patient, I'd never have gotten through it. Movies like most things are subjective. To each his own I say. :-)

Hey Brinn, answer me this: if Superman can go back in time just by flying fast enough, why didn't he do it after Superman III and demand a re-write?

Don't forget about the cheesiest [and, strangely, my favorite] comic book to make it to the screen: Flash Gordon.

And the soundtrack by Queen rocks! :R

Flesh Gordon? Never heard of it, but it sounds like something I should ask Hierachy about.
