Y'know, I've not played any of the cooking games, but I dig original game ideas, so it actually looks like some fun to me.

Have I already mentioned Tom Clancy's Endwar?

The voice control, combined with a decent RTS on the XBox, has me excited.

I'm waiting for Disgaea 3 to come in the mail, as well as the two soundtrack CDs that come with it as swag/bonus material.

Yeah, so I just pre-ordered the ultra-mega-super-duper survival edition of Fallout 3 for my husband's birthday and Christmas present. $130 later, he's going to get:

* The Fallout 3 video game

* An Amazon.com exclusive life-size replica of the Pip-Boy 3000, the wrist-mounted device worn by characters in the game.

* Vault Boy Bobblehead: Your very own Vault Boy collector’s item is direct from Vault-Tec

* The Art of Fallout 3: Features nearly 100 pages of never-before seen concept art and commentary from Bethesda Game Studios artists.

* The Making of Fallout 3 DVD: An exclusive, inside look at Bethesda Game Studios and the team behind the game.

* Vault-Tec Lunch Box: A fully customized metal lunch box in which the entire package will arrive.

Can't wait for that bad boy to ship.

I've been waiting my whole life to see the Diablo universe as it will be in the upcoming game. I'll need paramedics on standby as I play through it.

I was looking forward to Fallout 3, however the more I read about it the less I like it. I am due to cancel my pre-order and order Far Cry 2 instead.

If you're not a fan of Oblivion, you're more than likely not going to be a fan of Fallout 3.

haha! It's ok. I think it's a superb game. The dialogue system is vastly improved from Oblivion, and you CAN be evil.

To be fair, many of the same things that bugged me in Oblivion continue to bug me in Fallout 3. The way people stand stock still and people in the background freeze while you're talking to somebody, the endless cost of repairing your stuff, never feeling like you're getting any more powerful because enemies scale with your level.

It has pulled me in in a way that Oblivion never did though. I think I've played Fallout 3 for longer than I ever did Oblivion already.

Fallout 3 is an evolution for Bethesda. They continually improve, and fallout 3 is a lot more engaging than oblivion was. The best thing they ever did was eliminate that horrid LIST dialogue system that was in morrowind.
They definately captured the feel of Fallout, and stuck very closely to the original. I think they were really big fans, and the landscape is a lot more fun than 'generic fantasy world'
