The "perfect" anything doesn't exist, except for a specific group of people.

For some people, the original Starcraft is the perfect RTS. For others, that's DoW2.

If Homeworld had the best VG story you've experienced, you ought to play Deus Ex - to me, it is a perfect game. To others, it isn't, but that's their opinion.

I have high hopes for SC2, but I don't expect perfection.

True, true...but it's been a decade since SC was released...

I'd love to play Dues Ex, really...but I'm one of those people who gets sick/dizzy playing FPS'...the last one I could play at all was 007...

...it sucks.

I DID really like Age of Mythology and World in Conflict

And you forget about the awesomeness of Myth and Myth 2.

Sins of a Solar Empire is a surprising blend of Civ style turn based play with RTS. Pretty nice.

Myths were pretty good, didn't play AoE or sequels, then played EE and RoN and Civ3...so I think I get what it is...played a demo of Sins, didn't like it much, thought the non-3d asteroid RTS part was gay/gay/gay...but then again, I didn't really give it a chance after playing that part...

I would love to play WiC...but my system probably can't handle it...
