sorry wildfish but i was only repeating things i've said before. I haven't played your game and i know nothing about it. before you joined the thread i had already made that argument and was just repeating myself for the benefit of the new-comers.
if those with power are guilty, is it possible to be guilty yet powerless?

I once started to design an LFB game for fun...did it as a Real-Time-Tactics game much like DoW2...just on a larger scale.

You would have five slots to fill for a given battle, called a Quest. The main thing about both the single-player campaign and the good side of the multi-player would be that at all times you had to protect TC. Your options would be thus:

Lord's Warden - If you picked Prothall, Mhoram or Osandrea you would also be picking the matching Bloodguard and Ranyhyn. You could choose all three, filling three of your five slots.

Olde Lords - You could choose the killer combo of Variol, Tamarantha, their Ranyhyn and their Bloodguard, taking up two full slots. Would kinda be cool huh? Them old-timers know some things the young ones don't.

Warward - You could choose an entire Warward Platoon (can't remember what it's called) led by Garth and/or Quaan (Garth would give a plus to Defense while Quaan to Offense), the Platoon setup, Archers, Swordsman, etc. would probably be customizable to the task ahead, and you could choose two sepeate platoons if needs be.

Earthfriends - If you chose FF you would also get Birinair and Tohrm

In the single-player campaign you could do a special summonsing depending on the level you were playing on (Unfettered in Andelain, Fire Lions on Mt. Thunder, etc.) if you were at dire straights...

Bad side for Multiplayer, eight slots:

- Ur-vile Wedge
- Cavewight Den
- Griffin Triad
- Kresh Pack
- Drool could be used, however, reducing the amount of slots for the bad team down to six slots.

Thought it would be pretty cool...

matrixman wrote:None of this menu-driven RPG stuff for me, thanks. If I'm playing a TC game, I want total environmental immersion. In a nutshell: TC as a first-person adventure using the Doom 3 engine. Or the future Quake IV engine. :D

Don't give me complicated menus, give me the krill in all its 3D-rendered glory so I can go kick Demondim butt. That'll push some pixels on my monitor.
First Person shooter & RPG combined, I want to see the land as I travel through it from a first person perspective. just as you said using the Q4 engine or something along that line.... another good 0ption for the game would be controlling the white gold.... you would have a meter that tells you how close you are to breaking the arch of time and the goal while frying something or using the white gold was to keep the meter in the center using keys to do so while it keeps trying to slide into the apocalypse redzone and every time you use the white gold the control gets worse...unless you find diamondraught/Metheglin or springwine to drop the control levels back to normal.

or as a secondary option for the game you could be Lord Foul..since he didnt leave his cave during the whole story practically the game would take a different direction and style of play..instead of first person perspective right off, Playing as Foul you would be the controller of armies just like the Myth series and once sent into battle the story takes on a first person shooter or stays in foul perspective viewing the entire battle from whichever giantraver or Urvile loremaster is in control of the attack, with a toggle key that lets you switch back and forth between first person and battlefield view.

then you of course would need to have an elohim cheat code so you could try to save the land as an Elohim using all available powers., while the TC storyline played out behind the scenes.

endless possibilities with the great graphics they have and abilities with gaming now..

It would be really cool to play as a Raver and your abilities at a given moment would be dependent on whom you possessed for an FPRPS, eh?

that sounds good to me... and when the raver gets killed you could fly around the landscape looking for a new victim.... and with the huge size of new games and the extensive landscapes and maps savailable in Modifications this game could be done as a Mod as i hear someone did. Q4 engine would allow for an excellent Mod. I remember how much fun i had playing the Urban Terror mod for q3 so q4 engine would have some great graphic ability
