Dukkha, I have no idea what you look like, but I feel quite confident saying I'd probably find you more attractive that Liv Tyler.

Yup. You're more attractive than Liv Tyler.

Overall, I think this movie was much better than the 2003 one. I know I had more fun making it than I did the other one; do you know how hard it was to train those dogs not to wet themselves when I entered the fight scene? Also, the actors in the first flick were too in awe of me to do much of a job acting. I don't know how many times we had to cut a scene so Josh lucas could go change his underwear. Jenn and I hit it off, naturally, and while our off-camera escapades didn't distract either of us from delivering a gripping performance, I think it affected the other actors. Eric Bana, the big wimp, clearly had feelings for Jenn; too bad he's not 1/10th the man I am. Puny Bana, I didn't even have to knock your fool head off; Jenn set your butt straight, didn't she? Hah! Nick Nolte was also affected by Jenn's charms; half the time he didn't even know which character he was supposed to play. Man, I thought that dip was a pro, too. Loved him in 48 hours! Anyway, when we decided to do another Hulk film, Marvel and I thought it best to get a different cast. Liv isn't the hottie Jenn is, but she did alright in my book, and I'll smash that puny clown Cail if he doesn't shut his fool mouth! Besides, as long as I have the spare key to Jenn's summer house, why not try Liv on for size? She's not half bad, let me tell you.
When the man with a 45 meets the man with a rifle, you said the man with a pistol is a dead man. Let's see if it's true.
So this week I watched both versions (first the new, then the Ang Lee), and I have to say, I don't think I'm a Hulk fan.
It's really weird, but the new version has more comic-book material (extremely shallow character development, corny dialog, improbably physics, outright cartoonish wavy beam tanks), while the older had comic-book style editing (quick cuts, multiple panes, etc). I'm not a fan of either of those things, so I ended up not liking either film.
Now, if they could just take Ang Lee's emotionality, Leterrier's action, and Jennifer Connolly, then we might have a Hulk movie I could get behind. As it is, I wouldn't rate either one higher than a 3/5

Well, I'd heard from a couple people whose movie tastes I trust that it wasn't as bad a movie as I assumed it would be, so I watched it today. The problem with a Hulk movie is that there's absolutely no surprises. But that aside, yeah, it was pretty cool. Norton is, of course, excellent. Liv always does a very good job in the roles I've seen her in. LotR, That Thing You Do, and now this. She does the Love-that-can't-be role nicely. (I don't think she's all that gorgeous either, but she's a good deal moreso than DW. I'm not gonna go back to previous pages of this thread to find out what Cail wants to do to Av.) Mr. Blue was funny. The guy who becomes Abomination was good. And Stark's brief moment was good, but the promise it shows is better.
All in all, I'm glad I saw it.

Just watched The Incredible Hulk, and IMO it's a pretty decent film. Suffered from the same problem a lot of them do, which is the pacing - things move a little too fast because they're having to fit so much in. You see it in most of the comic book movies, in the later Harry Potter films, and so on.
Other than that, I'd say it was pretty good. It did the character justice, I thought. I've never seen the previous one to comment on that.

I thought it was a solid film, unlike Ang's boring version. First half was great, second half was okay. If they would've kept the half hour of cuts that Norton got pissed about and fixed a couple issues nearer to the end, it probably would've been just as good as Iron Man.
