I'll be getting it, that's for sure. Alas, it would be lunacy to allow someone to play a Space Marine in this RT campaign.Lt. Commander Zarkov wrote:^Finally. Took them 10 years of Dark Heresy players whining "I wanna play a space marine!" but they did it. Now i'll just have to wait for the chaos expansion. Goody.
Sorry I haven't updated. I've been feeling a little under the weather this weekend. Will update tomorrow properly, but I'll do a quick one for the Bridge now, as it's the most important for the rest.

Maybe there's a conversion chart somewhere... starting space marine is comperable to a level 3 RT character, or something.Montresor wrote:I'll be getting it, that's for sure. Alas, it would be lunacy to allow someone to play a Space Marine in this RT campaign.
If nothing else, maybe we can get cool tech out of that book...

The Space Marines in that book belong to the Deathwatch Chapter, which is made up of experienced Marines from other chapters. So, my guess is they'd be much higher than Rank Three. It's also set in a different region, and it would be unlikely for there to be any Marines at all in the Expanse.Andrea Chan-Gauthier wrote: Maybe there's a conversion chart somewhere... starting space marine is comperable to a level 3 RT character, or something.

I just want it for source material. I could run a one-off adventure involving Marines.

i feel i need to pitch in an apology here. i've been quite busy lately, and am about to get busier, since i start a new job tomorrow.
this is why i haven't really had time to take part in reading anything outside of the core adventure. i will continue to post as i am able, so as not to break flow, but if i go quiet from time to time, you'll know why.
once again, i'm sorry i can't contribute more. i wish i could, because i am thoroughly enjoying what's going on here. but that's life....

That's understandable. I only manage to check the net 2-3 times a day now. I always appreciate players letting me know when they need time off.
Post what you can. Even OOC instructions are ok if you can't manage much more on some days/weeks.

Oh wow, there's a post to respond to. Sweet! How did I miss that?Montresor wrote:Before updating the Bridge/Zarkov, I'll wait for other player actions (specifically Andrea and Malachi). Oh, the anticipation . . .
On an unrelated topic, I caught myself typing Engineseer today in a work email, instead of Engineer. Some days it's harder to pretend I'm a grown-up than others.

So, has anyone noticed that Wounds is not listed on the character sheet we're using?
I was trying to figure out how badly beaten I am with 7 of them. I'm assuming I'm pretty bad off, anyway.

Wounds are on the bottom of the second page, above the image of the Rogue Trader with hit locations, and next to Insanity and Corruption points. You probably started out with 13 or thereabouts and are now down to 6. Zarkov is currently on 11 (13 - 2). Malachi is in quite bad shape!

Yeah, Andrea is a wee slip of a gel. She only has 10 wounds. Good to know, though.Lt. Glad to have Garrius back amongst us all. Welcome back.
And I've been meaning to say that I will update the NPC list when I get the chance to devote an hour or so to it. Quite a few new names have come up, and I don't want players becoming confused.

Some of us can't even find the word "Wounds" in large font on a two page document consisting mostly of horizontal lines, without assistence. Confusion is inevitable, even if you spent all day with the NPC list.Montresor wrote:I don't want players becoming confused.

You came up with a good one. I was going to suggest something like that, in case you were stumped.Dorian wrote:
Glad to be back. I struggled to find a legit excuse for his prolonged absence though.
