Linden and Kevin's Dirt

Remember, Lord Foul chose Covenant as well as Linden, for the same reasons.

I believe Foul chose Linden to be his wife after the Creator chose her to save the Land. I can't see any other reason to believe that Foul and the Creator somehow chose together or at the same time, or had reached an agreement. Instead, I find rather ambiguous passages such as this one:

Covenant-

You have to create your own answer. The last time I was here, I didn't know I was going to beat Foul until I did it. Then I could look back and say that was the reason. I was chosen because I had the capacity
to do what I did—even though I didn't know it." He spoke quietly, but his manner could not conceal the implications of severity and hope which ran through his words. "I think you were chosen because you're like me. We're the kind of people who just naturally feel responsible for each other.
Foul thinks he can use that to manipulate us. And the Creator—" For an instant, he reminded her strangely of the old man who had said to her, You will not fail, however he may assail you. There is also love in the world. "He hopes that together we'll become something greater than we would alone."

I don't know if that says both powers had a hand in the selection process. However, at the beginning of TWL there is a passage in which Covenant tells Linden that the old man chose her because she saved him.

"You saved him, and he chose you, and you don't have any idea what that means.

That last goes along with the parallels theory. The fetid stench of the old man's breath as Linden gave him mouth-to-mouth

His mouth was as fetid as the maw of a corpse. The whole ordeal was hopeless. She did not relent.

can be likened to her terrible disgust while striving to heal the Sunbane on Mt. Thunder by taking it into her very being and then releasing it changed back to the Land.

Now that we know how Kevin's Dirt was made, in what way is it "a fine riposte", as Lord Foul called it???? He also implied he had no hand in it, but if it's Raver-born, surely he did???

Not in the sense that Foul literally ordered Jehannum to come up with some useful new weapon to use against Linden. Ravers apparently have minds of their own, but they have no will of their own. For example, Ravers think of themselves as highly enlightened beings, and they didn't need Foul to tell them this.
