Lately been swapping between Paramore's Brand New Eyes, OK Go's Of the Blue Colour of the Sky, and Sleigh Bells' Treats.

Gotta be more people out there who like Sleigh Bells.

I've been told by someone who knows my musical tastes well, that I will love Sleigh Bells, Murrin, but haven't listened to them until now (*clicking your link*)

I picked up Mumford & Sons album "Sigh No More" over the weekend, and I'm very glad I did. Despite the band name sounding like a law firm or construction company, they are especially moving. Check out the following:

'The Cave' live at Glastonbury 2010

They were definitely my highlight at glastonbury this year. The venue shown is the 'John Peel tent' - the biggest of the tent stages (there are about 4 outdoor stages that are bigger). They were definitely mis-venued this year. The tent was packed and so was the entire field outside the tent! And it seemed like everyone was singing out all the lyrics, at the tops of their lungs!

You could see that the band were overwhelmed by it all, they seemed almost to be in tears at one point, about 2 or 3 songs in. They told a story about playing Glastonbury in 2009, they were on at a tiny little stage that barely anyone even knew existed, somewhere in the Greenfields area. Some difference!

The BBC have most of the gig on their iplayer website, but can only be accessed from the UK :(

Just downloaded Pink Floyd's Obscured by Clouds.
I've only heard before 3 songs from that album.
Now that I'm listening to the entire thing, I think that it's all great!

Next might be Ummagumma.

Been listening to Mumford & Son's for some time now and they are good.

Latest Listens worth Listening to:
The Pernice Bros. - Live a Little
Cloud Cult - The Meaning of 8
Yeasayer - Odd Blood
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. They finally reissued the two Badlands CDs, Badlands and Voodoo Highway. Excellent stuff I can finally listen to again. Jake E Lee rocks.

Woke up and had this running through my head for some odd reason, so I just had to pop it into a CD player:

Astronomy by Blue Oyster Cult

I know why I was thinking of BOC.
They are opening for Aerosmith here.
(Just heard the announcement earlier today)

WAIT A MINUTE... I was thinking of them BEFORE I heard about them coming.
WOW! I must have ESP! 8O

At this time, I got Steely Dan's Gold playing.
No static at all, FM!

Blue Oyster Cult is going to be playing with Foghat at Silver Springs in Ocala on August 21st. What a different venue from the Tampa amphitheatre only two weeks earlier.

But Silver Springs is a lot closer to Gator Town than the amphitheatre, and seating would be much more intimate.

I love going to Silver Springs!
Only 1 hour and 15 minutes away.
I'd rather see Foghat than Aerosmith anyhow.
My main attraction is the Don Gartlis car museum.
The cars change out every few months or so.

PM concert info and I might go.

Right now? Glenn Hughes' new album, F.U.N.K. and an oldie: The Ultimate Sin by Ozzy (although I'm mainly listening for Jake E Lee's awesome riffing).
