Josh freese on drums
dave navarro, hendrix and piggy on guitars
bootsy collins on bass
joe strummer on vocals
brucey springstein can write the songs and pick up royalties
james taylor on background vocals(interesting to see how he would fit with the rest of these guys)
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

tazz's dream band:
Josh freese on drums
dave navarro, hendrix and piggy on guitars
bootsy collins on base
joe strummer on vocals
brucey springstein can write the songs and pick up royalties
james taylor on background vocals(interesting to see how he would fit with the rest of these guys)

quite an eclectic mix there, tazz...the most BRILLIAN choice is bootsy and joe in the same band!!! yeah!

I'm very fond of Suzi Quatro. I think she and Debbie Harry were the first female rockers I listened to as a kid. That seems like a lifetime ago now. I still have Suzi's 1979 album Suzi...& Other Four Letter Words. I treasure the songs Starlight Lady, You Are My Lover and She's In Love With You - the one I remember her singing on Happy Days as Leather Tuscadero.

i've just thought of something else about this group, you left out chris cornell.
i really like it with joyce "baby jean" kennedy on vocals AND chris cornell. seriously excellent finale-type band. ah...if only mark sandman weren't dead...that would make it a Lucimay dream band.
does this group need horns? backup singers?

that is a worthy point lucimay-whats he doing now? chris cornell that is.
i liked soundgarden but after that he seemed to dissapear, for me anyway. i looked through previous posts for this thread and i cant believe i'm the only one with freese on drums.i saw him perform when i was in the states and as a former high school level drummer myself i have never seen anyone better.

Cornell is in Audioslave now, taking Zack de la Roche's place in RAtM.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

He certainly is, and I like them just as much as Rage.

I have to preface this by saying, I know NOTHING about music.

For vocals I'd have Maynard James Keenan, and the girl from Straylight Run, Michelle Nolan, she can sing and do some guitar stuff. Drums go to Travis Barker... He's really fun to watch, at the very least, and I assume he's pretty good. Like I said, I know nothing...

For more guitars? I don't really care... the frontman for Alkaline Trio because I like his voice so he could sing too... same goes for Motion City Soundtrack... and definately Monty

and the bassist from Monty.

How's that for concise and informed? :)

Chorus:
There was Peter sitting in the corner fiddle in his hand
Playing away like you never did hear and you'll never hear again
Charlie on banjo, Shorty on the bodhràn everything was grand
Come on Mark and let me in I want to join the band

Then Maeve did come and she let me in and I made my way along
Rafters rang with reels and jigs and someone sang a song
There were flying bows and bodhràns sticks you hadn't room to turn
But there was always a chair and a couple drinks
For the lad who came to learn

Chorus

But then the time said "Gentlemen please," and the gentlemen did go
Some of us might stay a while and sing songs very low
Then Peter he'd play one last song and put away the bow
But his fiddle is still playing no matter where you go

Chorus

It was in the springtime '74 that Peter he did die
And Fergie played the death march it was great Tallaght's town
And as we stood there silently as if from out the grave
Johnny's chickens could be heard and I could see it all again

Chorus

The day that Peter passed away we always will regret
But the things he said and the tunes he played we never will forget
Now the heavenly choir has dropped their lyres
And the angels tugged their harps
The rattle of the penny on the golden gate and this is his remark

Final Chorus:
There was Peter sitting in the corner fiddle in his hand
Playing away like you never did hear and you'll never hear again
St. Paul on banjo, Moses on the bodhràn everything was grand
Oh mighty Lord please let me in I want to join the band
I think the Pogues backing up E of the Eels and John Linnell of They Might Be Giants doing Tom Waits songs would be a delight. But I don't think it quite fits in with the point of this thread.
