So you're learning Morse code? Cool! My brother has done ham radio for years and years and years.
Oh, and sorry about the bad chicken salad.
Not a bad weekend here. The boss was surprised and pleased with the cake and with the turnout at his party, and kept thanking me for arranging it.

Yesterday, I did the 5K AIDS Walk in DC. The weather couldn't have been better. I was supposed to meet a co-worker before the walk -- we were going to echolocate by cellphone at Metro Center (there are 4 exits from that station, and I didn't know where her bus would drop her off). Got to my bus stop and said, "Hm, wonder what time it is," pulled out the cell and realized the battery had died overnight. *Definitely* didn't have time to run upstairs for a quick recharge, so I just went on downtown. Got to Metro Center -- no co-worker. Walked over the Starbucks, got coffee, came back -- still no co-worker. Decided to walk to Freedom Plaza and hope that she had the sense to come on down, too. About five minutes before we were supposed to start walking, she showed up in a rush. She'd way overslept and ended up driving in. So there was a lot of "I'm so sorry!" and "It's okay!" going on.
Today I got my hair cut, saw a movie, did the grocery shopping, and tried *twice* to go to the pool -- it was too crowded for me both times. I might just have to bite the bullet and go early in the morning. Urk.
