"I don't think being clever was the problem. Try not to be so clumsy at the same moment and you might fare better."

[That critical miss on Kali's part was totally Anna's fault. Yep. Completely. Thanks for being there though, to make it totally not look like she botched that swing.]

Anna's reply is a decidedly unladylike snort.

Led chuckles. "Yeah, perhaps you should just stick with hitting stuff. Just don't hit any of us, anymore."

***secondary saving throw vs Poison for Annalysei....success, no further Con damage*

Marrik asks, "Among our scrolls, is there perhaps an iteration of the spell Restoration, for Annalysei?"

[Only if one of the unknown/undetermined scrolls has it. The list Vyn gave did not have any. Of course Kali doesn't know about any of the scrolls.]

"She can walk it off. It cannot be that bad if she was more worried about a tiny lick of flame than further bites."

The bard shakes her head. "Not among the scrolls I am aware of."

Turning to Kalidriel, Laurel asks, "I am slowly learning more about healing. Can Annalysei's non-wound damage be healed over time through minor exertion?"

"I'm just glad that snake wasn't poisonous. It got me right in the leg, too. If there'd been poison in there, I'd really be in for it."

[Ability Damage returns at the rate of 1 point per day (or double that if the character gets complete bed rest) for each affected ability, and the spells lesser restoration and restoration offset ability damage as well.]

[Laurel's Healing Hymn might speed that process up as well.]

"I am sure that with lots of rest and a harem to attend her every need she would be fine. Maybe Led, Vyn, and Marrik can lavish her with attention once we find the living quarters," she says with a sly smile and a wink to the lads.

"Mom would say to keep going." She starts talking in a shrill voice, "'If you let a little thing like feeling drained stop you, something ugly will eat you.'" Kalindriel shrugs. "If nothing else, the feast should distract it long enough for the rest of us to kill it."

Running over what Led said, she then looks at him and wonders if they are occupying the same planar reality. "I'm pretty sure they were poisonous."

"Shouldn't a harem be all girls? No boys allowed. It's nicer that way."

I look at Annalysei. [Heal check.] "This evening, I'll renew my spells. I can help you then. I can cast Lesser Restoration. Then I'll be your harem. I can pamper you, if you'd like."

Led scoffs. "It can't have been poisonous." He points to the puncture marks in his pants, though the leg is healed beneath them. "Look, it got me right in the vein. I'd be dead right now, if it were poisonous." He waves dismissively at Annalysei, "She's probably just in shock from stumbling into its fang. It'll wear off in a few minutes."

"And really, I thougth you were a more experienced fighter than that. Getting all weak-kneed over a snake bite. Feh."

He looks around the room. "Anyway, enough whining about how scared and hurt we are. Let's get moving." Led starts down the descending ramp. "It must be this way."

Anna grins, "I'll take a harem. The Brute Squad gets tired after being bitten, hacked and generally pummeled." to Led she says, "Well sorry if I am unused to being a meat shield on a regular basis, smartarse. Most of my fighting experience has been me trying to train where my father wouldn't catch me doing forbidden magic, so I wasn't exactly standing in front of a scouting party waving a flail about and throwing fireballs willy-nilly."

Kalindriel follows Led. Passing the half-elf she teases, "You like dabbling in forbidden things, do you?"

Anna rises and places her beloved flail on one shoulder, and replies to Kali with a half smile as she follows deeper into the dungeon, "Ah, you have no idea."

"There might be biting..."
Kalindriel Ec'urb wrote:"Maybe not, but now I would like to."
"Me too.

I blush. I didn't mean to say that out loud.

I hurry to follow Led, before anybody sees me blushing.

As the stair winds downward, descending some 40', sounds become faintly audible once it ends into a long hallway...about 45' down, there is a doorway, but nothing is discernible within that room. The sounds are coming from in there, or beyond.

Led holds up his hand to the others, in the universal signal for "Shut the hell up!", then creeps down the hallway to the doorway. [Move Silently check.] Crouching low, to avoid being seen [Hide check.], he peers into the room.

Reaching out quickly to try to forestall Led, the bard does her best to keep her voice low. "I can make out two muttering in the elven Fallen Tongue; the dialect used by those in the tunnel outside the bakery in Waymeet. Considering whose tower we are in, that should not surprise us."

Listening more intently, Laurel repeats what little she can make out, "...chase...sneak...savage..."

Looking at the others, the bard adds, "I also hear the footsteps of at least one golem. Perhaps these two are plotting to chase after and sneak up on us, after hearing the report from the golem we ran in to?"
